THEY ALL REACHED the preserve, each in their own cars, or motorbike for Scott. They all stared at each other, not one of them saying a words as Cassiopeia saw Allison standing a little too close to Isaac. She didn't want to read into it, especially not right now.

"Anyone else thing we might be doing more harm then good?", Lydia asked as the attention snapped towards her. "We're trying to keep a father from killing his own daughter"

"Actually, we're trying to keep a guy from killing a coyote who is actually his daughter, who we don't know how to change from a coyote back to his daughter.", Isaac intervened between Scott and Lydia. The brunette rolled her eyes before flicking a rock at his torso.

"So not the point right now"

"And again with the not helping", Stiles said at the same time, resulting in Cassiopeia chuckling and Isaac rolling his eyes at his imprint. Woah, imprint, it's been awhile since they've referred to each other that way. The feeling made their heart jump a little at the thought of the other. - Not the time Cas.

"Did you bring it?"

Scott asked as Allison pulled out a tranquilizer gun from the back of her car. Seeing a weapon in the Argent girl's hand made Cassiopeia growl lowly. Of course, that was until gunshots were heard from the distance. Which made Scott leave on his bike towards them, Allison and Isaac following closely behind on feet.

"Scott! Isaac!", the brunette shouted while passing a hand through her curly brown hair. She was completely and utterly done with those two idiots. Stiles was talking on the phone with his dad, the two girls anxiously playing with their fingers.

"Tate's out there with a riffle"

"Oh, great, just what we needed. A lunatic of a father who's about to shoot his daughter. Great. Just great", the Alpha snarled while massaging her temple. "Things were so much easier in Romania. No werecoyotes running around. No father trying to kill their daughter. No friends suffering from the surrogate sacrifice ritual", she mumbled under her breath. And definitely no imprint with secrets.

"It's the doll?"

Stiles repeated with a confused expression. "All right, but why would it go all the way to the school and then all the way back to the house just for a doll? One that was in the car we'd know in the first place. We didn't find it in the coyote den"

"It likes the doll. Who cares?"

"Thank you captain obvious. We hadn't realized it liked the doll so much-"

"What kind of doll is it?", Lydia asked while stopping in her track. "Oh, now you're interested?", Cassiopeia asked as the strawberry blonde girl stuck her tongue out in a childish manner.

"I don't know. It's a doll, you know. It's got little arms, a big baby head and dead, soulless eyes. Actually, I took a picture"

Stiles said while getting up from his seat on the tree trunk. Lydia and Cassiopeia stared at each other for awhile, silently agreeing that they were seeing the same thing.

"What? What is it?"

"Malia's not the one holding the doll"

"That's Malia's younger sister. It's her doll", the two girls complete each other's sentence as Stiles stared at them in disbelief. "I know what she's doing. I know where she's going"

Before he could elaborate his plan, a guy ranching scream filled Cassiopeia's ears. The Alpha groaning in pain as she dropped to her knees, holding onto her head like it was going to explode. "Cas?! Cas! What's going on?", the two teenagers asked as the girl breathed heavily. "Isaac"

Were her final words before running towards his scent. She was quicker on her foot, having ditched her shoes and her accessories at Stiles' feet. Her eyes glowed a bright shade of red as she sniffed the air, her nose filling itself with Isaac's cologne. She saw him laying on the ground, a foot in a metal trap with blood all around it. Allison was standing next to him, her gun pointing at Mr Tate as her hands shook violently.

"Allison, breathe. Just breathe", the werewolf whispered while lowering herself at Isaac's level. Her eyes watched as blood pooled down his ankle, the crimson colour tainting his blue jeans as Allison finally took the shot. The man falling to his knees as Cassiopeia looked around to find Malia. "Guys, she's gone", Allison stated before a loud roar was heard.

Cassiopeia's eyes turned a violent shade of red just like Isaac's turned a golden shade. The two werewolves roared before ripping the trap off of his ankle. "That's what I'm talking about", the brunette whispered while running towards Scott's roar.

CASSIOPEIA ATE DINNER while on facetime with Stefan, her cousin was still in Italy for meetings. "I thought it was only for two days?", she asked while eating micis, they were grilled meat rolls, and drinking an ice tea. "It was but Moretti decided to push it back, as if we don't have responsibilities"

The man said with an annoyed eye roll, making his cousin chuckle before frowning her eyebrows.

"Ce e în neregulă, micuță?"
what's wrong, little one

"Nothing- I just think Isaac's lying to me. Well, not directly lying but like withholding information from me", the brunette breathed out while playing with her fork. She poked at her food, suddenly feeling nauseous at the thought of her imprint lying to her.

"Do you need me to break his neck for you? Cause I'm one private jet ride away"

"I can deal with him myself, Stef, trust me. But thanks, I appreciate the thought"

"I'm always there for you, Cas. We're family"

Family.

A word she didn't think she'd ever hear ever again. Especially not after what happened with her siblings. With her parents. Her grandparents. Her aunts. Her uncles. Her whole blood line. She never thought she'd ever have a family again, but Stefan proved her otherwise. He was her family. And he wasn't leaving her. Not now. Not ever.
