It was the last week of April, and Seokjin counted off the days with slight excitement.

The weather has calmed more to warm weather, so he was now parading around his house with shorts and a loose tee.

It was a good day that day, and he smiled when he noticed the flower he placed by the window sill of his kitchen months ago began blooming nicely. It was a pretty coral colour with curved petals, he wonders what the name was again.

He sighed, petting the pretty petals with a gentle finger, as his eyes wandered from the gradient of colours to the view outside. It was not that great of a view, it was a street and few buildings, but it was good enough to be able to watch people just moving along with their everyday lives.

Seokjin wondered the lives of others, whether it was boring, interesting, or if it changed suddenly, like his.

He felt his baby move a bit, and he placed a hand to rub his belly gently, easing the pup in him.

Pup...

He bit his lip, tearing up a bit.

In a few months, his pup will be born. And he would have to make a lot of changes to his life again.

He sighed softly, walking over to the fridge to pull out a chocolate bar.

Oh?

This... was the last one.

His brows furrowed. When did he go shopping last...?

Must be a few weeks ago, judging by his chocolate stash, which currently, he was holding the last one. He pulled open the freezer, and- well, his ice cream was there, so that was fine. It would be okay if he heads down to the grocers during the weekend.

He had not much work that day; a simple meeting with the board early in the morning, which got a lot of the attendees excited since he was pregnant. Well, most of them anyway.

Some thought he was incompetent to perform such a high-ranking job, but his colleagues, shockingly, stood up for him, followed by Mr Hwa threatening the men politely and calmly with a smile.

A good day, he concluded.

It felt nice to have people having his back. All this time, he did it alone. Even when he was with his ex, the alpha would make some rude comments and passed them off as jokes, which, Jin thinks now as he rubbed his belly, was probably the sign for him to leave the man.

But he was too in love with his ex then, that he put up with all his bullshit.

He was glad now that the alpha decided to not stick around. He did not want his pup, no matter the gender, to adopt traits from his douchebag ex.
