Mew purred softly, perched comfortably on Jimin's chest as the beta ran his shaky hand along her back.

After Seokjin's dismissal from the hospital, and a small party later on, everything went back to how it was.

Well, of course there were some changes.

Jin and Haneul are now living with Yoongi. Hoseok and Namjoon are expecting a child. Jungkook and Taehyung are mated.

And he's with Mew, in his flat.

Like how it was supposed to be.

Like how it will be.

That left a bad taste in his mouth, and he swallowed the feeling down, trying to get his focus away from such thoughts. Mew was still purring on his chest, he could just focus on that.

His phone ping-ed then, lighting up with a message from the group chat.

Hyuuung

Wanna join us for dinner?

Jimin blinked, slow and tired.

Then the phone began buzzing and he jolted, quickly answering.

"H'lo?"

"JIMIN-SSI! WHY DID YOU NOT REPLY?!"

Jimin pulled the phone away just a bit, looking at the time.

"Didn't you just text me?"

"Yes. But you took too long to reply."

"I did not."

He didn't... right?

"Anyways. Taetae and I are gonna go out to eat. Ya wanna come?"

Jimin yawned, squeezing his eyes a bit. Mew was purring into his neck now, and he shifted a bit to make it more comfortable for them both.

"Kook..." he yawned again, "It's 1 a.m."

"I didn't know that was a problem."

"Kook."

"Why are you awake?"

Jimin sighed.

"Didn't sleep well..."
