If the Moon Could Tell You

Tears fall faster at night
While trying to sleep
Or eat
Tears fall faster

You could be trying to watch tv
Doesn't matter
Tears fall faster at night
They just do

Whether you're on the floor
Whether you're before love ones letting go
Whether you're in a bathtub
Whether you're in a closet
Whether you're dying
Whether you're just starting to live
Whether you're taking out the trash

Or even if you're just feeding your cat.....

Those tears will find you in the dark

And when your cat starts to meow
And suddenly it gives you contact uncharacteristically first
You will cry even more

Or it could be the little hand of your daughter
The little hug from your son
The soft tone of a wife
The nonchalant tone of your husband

There's always something to trigger more tears, isn't there?

If the moon could tell you to keep on going, it wouldn't have to shine during the night

So look up and keep ongoing
