The New Avenger Part 32

"Hey Astrid"

"Oh. Hi Bruce."

"How are you doing?"

"I'm fine."

Bruce walks into Astrid's room and sits on the bed. 

"How are you doing with, well, you know, your mom"

"Oh. I decided to accept it. I'm going to look for her. If there's even a slight chance that she may be alive, I think that we should try to find her"

"We can help you."

"Thanks, but no. This is something me and my father have to do."

"I understand. But, all topics aside, I do want to talk about what happened yesterday"

"I-I don't know I got a little upset"

"I know. But I'm not talking about you throwing Tony out the window. I'm talking about everything that was going on while you were talking to Tony"

"What happened?"

"You were floating. Green mist was surrounding your hands, your eyes glowed green, and everything in the room was floating. Your wings were covered in green mist too"

"I don't believe you"

"FRIDAY?"

"Yes Dr. Banner?"

"Can you pull up a recording on what happened yesterday?"

"Of course"

The TV is Astrid's room came on, and it was showing surveillance of the scene yesterday. And as Astrid watched, everything the Bruce had said happened, happened. 

"So, you were right. How can this be possible? I didn't even know I could do that"

"None of us did. Now I know you don't like this, and it's ok if you don't want to do it but, I would like to test what you can move"

"Um, will it be like H.Y.D.R.A?"

"No. It won't be"

Astrid took a deep breath. "Ok"

"Ok. Suit up and meet me outside" Bruce left the room

Astrid walked outside with her suit on, and walked to where Bruce, Tony, Rhodey, Thor, and Vision were. 

"So, how is this going to go?" Astrid asked

"They are going to use one of their weapons, like, Thor is going to use lightning, and you have to try to control/move it. Got it?"

"Kind of like I did the other day?"

"Yes."

"What if I faint"

"We got that handled. Ready?"

"Yeah" 

Thor raised his hammer and lightning came down and struck it. At that same moment, Astrid focused her energy on the lightning and it moved to her hands. 

And she shaped it into a ball and then she closed her eyes and she focused on infusing it into her arms, and then she let the energy go and blasted it towards the sky. 

After she did, she felt a little lightheaded and she stumbled over her feet, but thankfully, Tony was there to catch her. 

"Woah, are you ok?"
