Part 17 ~ Arranged Marriages

The new school year is starting and I am exited to see my friends. "Come Tom! They are nearly here!" I yelled running to the train station. "Darling calm down." I could here the train in the distance. Soon it came to an halt infront of us and students start piling out. Forst years looked around scared and confused and I helped where I could. "TRISH!" I turned around and saw Ronnie. "RONNIE!" I yelled and we ran to each other falling to the ground. "Hey show me some love." I heard Lestrange say. I stood up hugging him. In the distance I saw Black and Malfoy slowly walking looking depressed. "Hey boys, whats up." They both hug. "We will talk about it later T."

We walked to the great hall and Dippet gave his speech he gives every year. The sorting ceremony started and I zoned out until I heard the name called, "Arabella Greengrass!" My head shot up. Mom? A little girl with brown curly hair walked up with striking green eyes. Jip that is her. I nesrly start to cry. I miss her so much. "SLYTHERIN!" the hat yells and we all clap hands. The feast began and as it ended me and Tom Stood up. "Good evening first years. I am Motricia Evermore and I am the headgirl and also Slytherin head prefect." I said looking at the beginning of all 4 tables making sure I look at the first years. "And I am Tom Riddle, the headboy and also slytherin head prefect." He said boredly. "If the head prefects can please lead the first years to their dorm, Thank you." I said walking down. "First years, please follow me." I said. Me and Tom walked next to each other on our way to the common room. "Miss?" I turn around and see the same green eyes as mine. "Yes?" I asked looking at the much younger version of my mother. "Yes?" I asked her. "You are very pretty." I smiled and thanked her. "Remember the password and don't give it out." I said sternly. "Resulting in that will cause punishment. The password is 'pureblood', please do your best to remember." Tom said sternly making some scared. We walked into the common room and talked the rules over. "You 5 come." I said looking at our group as they followed us to the head girl and boy dorms. We had our own common area wich were nice if we wanted our friends here.

We all sit down. "Abraxas, Orion, what is going on? I think you made a dementor depressed on your way here." I said looking at the two. "If I were not this upset I would have laughed at the joke." Orion said. "Can I speak for both of us?" Abraxas asked which Black nodded. "Both our parents called meetings with us. Me and Orion have been told that upon graduating we will be wed. We hardly know the girls, well except Orion." I stood there is shocked. "I have it worst. I have to marry Walburga!" Orion sad mad. "Wait, isnt she-" "Yes, my cousin." He interupted me looking disgusted. "Maybe you can get to know the girls this year." I said trying to sound positive. "Have you met them? They are these stuck up women who has been traines to do as we please." Abraxas said. Oh no, this is where it starts. Where they become shitty husbands and fathers. I am going to do my best so that theu won't turn out like that. We sat there for a while catching up.

The next moment I hear Veronica scream bloody murder and grab my hand. "ARE YOU GUYS?!" She asked with a million dollar smile on her face and I noddes resulting her tackling me to the ground. "Congratulations!" She yelled. The rest of them hugged us and congratulated us. "When is the wedding?" Ronnie asked. I looked at Tom. "We are thinking maybe just before Graduation." Tom said with his blank expression but I saw that little smile on his face. "Care to swap wives Tom?" Orion asked pleadinly. "No sorry." Tom said shooting daggers his way.

The next morning we make our way to the great hall for breakfast. We sat down. "I really think you guys should give the two girls a chance. Maybe you can even fall inlove." I said and stood up making my way to Walburga and Beatrice Addington. (I don't know who Abraxas married so I made this character up.) "Good morning girls, care to join us?" I asked and they both stood up elegantly and made their way to our side. I started conversation and soon both girls were talking to their fiance's and just maybe Lucius and Draco can grow up with loving fathers.

Headmaster Dippet made his way to the front. "Goodmorning students and welcome first years to your first breakfast feast here at Hogwarts. I would like to ask our headboy and headgirl to stand please. It has been brought to my attention that our star students of Hogwarts are now engaged! We would lile to congratulate you and hope that you have a strong marriage." The whole hall enrupted in cheers and whistles. Some girls looked sad and I even saw a few crying. We thanked the headmaster. "Did you tell him?" I asked Tom. He shook his head and said. "No I thought you did." I also shooked my head. Wait! Both me and Tom turned out heads to a gleaming Veronica. "Okay! You caught me! I couldnt help it!" She said making me laugh. Oh well now the cat is out the bag. Where ever we went students amd professors congratulated us much to Tom's liking.
