Chiyo's Return To The Leaf Village

Chapter 5

    Sakura, Naruto, and Chiyo leaned against the chain link fence side by side as a breeze blew by. The blond couldn't sit still as the three of them waited for Kakashi to show up. Having grown tired of waiting Naruto finally broke the silence as he let out a frustrated yell.

"Is he going to make us wait forever" the male asked. Chiyo glanced at him a calm look on her face. She to was upset that yet again they were left waiting around while Kakashi was off doing who knows what but she decided to remain quiet.

  "This is just like when we were younger" she said,

  "It seems Kakashi hasn't changed either" Midnight added. Chiyo nodded her head a small smile forming on her face. She could admit that she had missed the small things with her friends. Just then, a puff of smoke appeared, once it cleared Kakashi appeared perched on top of the fence.

  "Sorry, I ran into an old lady" he tried to make an excuse as Chiyo shook her head arms crossed.

"That's a lie!" both Naruto and Sakura yelled at the same time. Kakashi flinched as Chiyo remained silent.

"It's good to see you again, Kakashi sensei" she waved not minding that he had been late once again.

"You as well Chiyo" Kakashi smiled.

   The three approached the familiar training grounds as they followed Kakashi. Chiyo looked around along with her friends as they stopped in the clearing. Three wooden posts, ones that brought back memories of when they had just graduated were situated in the ground.

   "Man, this brings me back" Naruto commented. Chiyo nodded as Sakura remained silent. Kakashi stood in front of them remembered the time they spent together when they were a team of four.

   

 
"I'll give you all another chance. Eat lunch but don't give Naruto any. It's his punishment for trying to eat earlier" he said walking away. As the group began to eat Sasuke held up some of his food towards Naruto.

"But, Kakashi said not to feed him" Sakura said.

"I don't see him" the stoic boy said,

"besides, if Naruto doesn't eat then he'll be weak" Chiyo said. Naruto accepted the food but as soon as he did the sky became dark and Kakashi appeared in front of the group.

  The memory ended as Chiyo looked around. Both Naruto and Sakura sat on the ground sulking, the girl sighed feeling bad for them. She knew that both of them missed Sasuke, and Naruto blamed himself for not being able to bring him back two years ago. She was about to try and console them but the sound of two bells ringing caught their attention. They looked towards Kakashi who was holding said bells attached to red string, the very same bells they had been tested with so long ago.

  "Let's see how much you've grown" Kakashi said. Naruto and Sakura perked up at his words both getting to their feet.

"You guys ready" Chiyo asked slipping her mask on.

  "Let's do this" Naruto said excitedly.
