“LILLIAN!” I heard from the back room.

“Yes Jeremy?” I spun around the corner.

“I thought I told you to do the count today? I need to know what needs to be brought on the next shipment! I told you to take care of it!”

“I did! I left the clip board on your desk this morning.” I stated.

“Well I didn’t see it!” He yelled even louder. Who knew that was possible.

            “I’ll go look again sir.”

“No need.” Matt came around the corner with Luka. “It was under your coat on the left hand side of the desk.”

“Maybe you should pay more attention Mister Yard.” Luka said.

“Yeah maybe.” He glared at me. What did I do!?

He stormed off with the clipboard and slammed the office door. Matt put his arm around me and I felt a chill go down my spine as I shifted uncomfortably. Luka swooped in and grabbed my hand and pulled me off.

“End of shift. Time to go, you promised me a Friday night out.” She chirped.

I met Luka on my first night here. I thought she was annoying the first minute. I normally don’t like those preppy in pink kind of girls. Besides her style malfunction she actually has an amazing personality.  That night some girls and their boys were giving me trouble, with no hesitation she just chucked her Starbucks and French fries at their heads. I know, Starbucks and French fries, weird mix. Since then she’s been my best friend here.

“Okay! Let’s go then!” I smiled.

“What about me?” Matt had this look on his face. Most people see it as an innocent lonely expression, but I know better.

When I started work here they knew I was living in a motel. Matt asked me to move in saying it would help him with rent and it’d be a lot of fun, so I did. The first month was fine, we hung out drank a bit here and there and got ready for work together. It was fun for a while but then it got weird.

“Sorry Mattycakes but Lillian is mine tonight. Girls only.”

“Fine.” He scowled. “Don’t get back too late, unlike you I work weekends too. Don’t wake me.”

“Will do.” I told him as we left.

We left and went to the mall to start things off. Considering I’m only nineteen and they’re all Twenty-one they try to do things they know I can take part in. So tonight it was shopping and a movie. My second month here I told Luka all about my past with the boys. She’s fallen in love with their band and thinks Mike is dreamy. She thinks I should go back and see them since I’m still in love with Vic. I always will be and I know that.

After a fun night out with Luka I headed on home. I opened the front gate to the apartment and headed inside. I got up to the third floor where our small place was and fumbled for my keys. I got inside and locked the door ready for bad after a long night, enjoyable, but long. As I put my stuff down I heard the crash from behind me. I spun around and there was Matt storming over, a vodka bottle in his hand. He was stumbling bad and knocked the light over. I knew what was coming. I made a run for my room but I didn’t make it.  Braced myself for what was coming.

Vic’s POV

It’s been a while since she left, I miss her. I love her, I need her and she left me. I can’t believe it. Even though I know it’s not like that. We had left first and she did what she needed too, but I just miss her so much. Mom said that the doctors said she got her hearing back. That she was going to tell us the day we told her about the tour. I’m so stupid I should have paid attention to her more.

Since she left we’ve made a lot of progress. Our band is known all around the world and we’ve already had so many shows. Right now we’re on tour with a couple guys from a bad called All Time Low. Alex is their vocalist, we hang out a lot. Jack is his best friend so they’re always together, same with Zack and Rian. They’re a great group of guys to hang with. We’ve been all over the US so far. In a few days we’re heading to Pennsylvania for a low key show. We’ll be in Philadelphia for a few days since Alex has some friends that live in the area. So we’re staying at their home instead of booking a hotel or sleeping in the bus. I guess we’ll see what happens.

I know it is short. Just a mini update to just give an idea of what it has been like for her since she left.
