I woke up that morning to Vic filling my senses. I could smell him and I felt his touch, I swear I could almost taste the man. It was the best morning I had in such a long time. It was actual perfection. I snuck out from under his grip and went off to the kitchen to meet Luka, and as I thought she was up and ready to go. All you could see was her running around the kitchen starting up her music.
“Hey girly! Sleep well? Oh my god tell me everything! Did you guys, you know?” She wriggled her eyebrows and winked at me.
“Oh god Lukes! No! Calm yourself. It was just a relaxing night.” I walked over and helped her get out the dishes. She was all set to do the whole breakfast galore she loved. It was her favorite meal of the day, unlike me of course.
“Fucking cock suckers!” She yelled.
“Jesus, Luka what is it?”
“I’m out of milk and eggs. Fuck and the cinnamon.”
“I’ll go get some, the markets just three blocks down.” I grabbed my coat and slipped on my shoes. I didn’t bother changing because wearing Vic’s clothes was so relaxing. I hadn’t realized how much weight I’ve lost. They hang on me and Vic’s not even that big of a guy, besides those gorgeous muscles. I can feel myself purring.
“Oh Lillian no, I couldn’t ask you to do that.”
“You let me AND four of my friends sleep here last night. It’s the least I can do. No arguing bitch! I’ll be right back.”
“Okay babe!” She hollered as I closed the door and went down the steps. Things will be okay now. I can’t wait to go home with the boys.
What if they don’t want me to? Maybe they’re sick of me. Being with me now, maybe they realize it isn’t as good as they thought. I’m just in the way. What good am I to anyone? I’m just pathetic little Lillian Rusalka, never did anything good for anyone.
“Dammit” I sigh to myself. I need to stop this. Calm down, get the milk and eggs, and the cinnamon. Don’t forget the cinnamon. Focus Lil focus, you got this. Don’t let your demons weigh you down today! I told myself over and over again I could do it.
I got to the store and grabbed a basket while I checked my wallet. There’s twenty-five dollars. Alright then let’s see what I can do! I strolled through the aisles and grabbed my supplies. Milk, eggs, and cinnamon were first on the list. I then found the peppers, tomatoes, and chili powder. The last step was the hot sauce. Mike won’t eat anything without a side of hot sauce. The damn lunatic will be the death of us.
I got up to the register and had just finished paying when I noticed a familiar figure ahead of me. Matt. Can’t he take a hint? He stood there with his arms crossed scowling at me, like I did something to him. Fuck him! I’m done with this. It’s hard enough wandering around with a fucking crutch at my side, thanks to him I might add! I don’t need his shit. I walked right past him with my bags in hand as if he wasn’t even there. There are too many people around; he wouldn’t try anything so obviously. I decided even though it’s going to take longer that I’ll cross the street since its one solid building for two of the blocks. No alley ways to risk getting pushed.
