---Vic’s POV---

“Vic! Go see if Ruby’s ready to eat.” Mike hollered at me. We were almost ready for dinner. Mike had called Lil’s mom to see what her favorite thing to eat was. Turns out it’s Salmon. Jaime and Tony went out to get some desserts. Now I’m on wake up patrol.

I walked up stairs and quietly opened the door. She was sound asleep. I’d never seen a girl look so beautiful. Her cheek was still pretty swollen and looked painful. I felt my anger rising but kept my control. I didn’t want to scare her when she woke up. I traced my thumb across the cut on her forehead. She flinched but didn’t wake. Her hair fell in her face. It wasn’t very long; it made it down to the middle of her neck. It was a medium brown and she died the front of it blonde. It was very cute on her. She wasn’t much shorter than me, maybe about two inches.

I kissed the cut on her forehead and she slowly opened her eyes. Those deep brown eyes were amazing. She smiled up at me but when she realized the situation she jumped back. Her face turned bright red. She was so cute. She looked around confused then back to me. I guess she wanted me to explain.

“Good morning beautiful. You’re in my room. You fell asleep while Mikey brushed your hair.” I smiled at her. Her face turned an even brighter shade of red I didn’t think possible. She hid under the covers, adorable. “Awe come out here. Why are you hiding?”

“I’m sorry.” She said; “I..I.. your bed. Sorry.”

“It’s fine, come here.” She shook her head. “Then I’m coming in!” I crawled under and tackled her. She screamed and giggled. God she was so cute. We were wrestling under the covers when I pinned her down. “Caught you.” She blushed again. “Now you’re going to come downstairs and eat with us!” Out of nowhere she jumped up and knocked me down. She looked up at me, he head and hands on my chest. I saw a small smile on her face before she laid her head down on me. I couldn’t resist wrapping my arms around her. She felt cold so I adjusted the covers.

                “Lil, we should go eat.”

“Mmm.” She mumbled. I kissed the top of her head. I like her, but I don’t want to rush anything. I can’t wait for these next two weeks.

“Well what do we have here?” Tony and Jaime stood in the doorway. Shit. “Someone looks cozy.” Tony winked.

“Shut up we were just hanging out.”

“Right. Keep your hands off my sister!” Lily woke up when she heard Tony.

“Ah! Sorry!” She jumped up and fell off the bed. “Dammit!”

“Well that made my job easier.” Tony grabbed her wrist and pulled her onto his back and walked out. Jaime ran over and threw me over his shoulder.

                “Get off me dammit Preciado!”

“But I love you baby!” He carried me off to the kitchen.

“Mike you cook?” Lily asked. She was sitting on the counter and her arms were wrapped around Tony’s neck leaning on his back. I got a tight feeling in my chest and I didn’t like it. “So what’re you making?”

                “Salmon!” Jaime yelled.

“Salmon?!” She jumped up. “Really? No lie?” We all started laughing and she sat back down pouting.
