We stayed at his apartment for 2 days, just enjoying being with each other and forgetting the world outside the door. We knew we had to go back eventually but I needed to decide what I wanted to do but I wouldn't decide that without Bucky's opinion.
Bucky was making us some breakfast while I sat on the kitchen counter watching him, the bacon was sizzling and filling the room with a delicious smell. Watching made me feel we could maybe have a semi normal life together but is that what he wanted? I looked down at my lap, lost in thought.
"Doll?"
My head snapped up to see Bucky looking at me with a worried expression. I tried to give him a reassuring smile but it didn't work very well, how could I reassure him when I couldn't reassure myself?.
"Doll what's wrong?" he asked rubbing the top of my thighs.
"I'm just thinking about what I should do" I said.
He nodded and kissed my forehead, his metal hand cupped my cheek and I leaned in to it, sighing.
"What is it you want to do?"
"I'm not sure Bucky, I cant stay in the same building as dad and having to feel rejected all the time but I also don't want to leave the team. I don't know what to do" I felt my tears fall down my face.
He wiped the tears.
"Well what if we spoke to Steve and Tony about some options doll?"
He smiled and I felt my heart skip, I smiled back and nodded in agreement. He pulled my face to his and kissed me softly before continuing to cook breakfast.
After breakfast Bucky called Steve to organize to meet with him and Tony to talk, the meet was today at 12 at a diner a few streets away. Bucky went and grabbed a shower while I dressed, I didn't have any clothes with me so I put my waist high jeans back on from a few days ago (since the last 2 days we have walking around in our underwear) and grabbed a dark blue button up shirt of Bucky's and tucked it in my jeans. I heard a groan from the door way and saw Bucky leaning against the frame with a towel around his waist and looking at me hungrily. He stalked over to me and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling my flush against him.
"Damn Zee you look amazing in my shirt, could get used to seeing you like this" he smirked and buried his face in my neck gently biting my sensitive skin. I grinned and pushed him away.
"Behave Sarge, we have to meet Steve and Tony in an hour" I said in a low seductive voice and dragged my nails down his chest. His breath hitched and groaned at my touch. I giggled and walked to the door, I looked over my shoulder and meet Bucky's eyes racking over me. I winked at him and left the room.
The diner wasn't to busy as we sat in a booth towards the back, Steve and Tony walked in and joined us. A waitress came over and took our orders and quickly left,
"How are you Zee?" asked Steve in his mom voice.
"I'm okay, how's things with you guys at the compound?"
"Its been quiet, Nat gave Clint a thrashing with how he was with you after you left."
"It was funny" laughed Tony.
The waitress came back with our food and drinks and we made small talk as we ate, I had ordered a cheese burger but I could only manage to eat half of it.
"Zee? Bucky told use about how you felt about being at the compound so I think I might have a solution." said Tony between his bites of the burger he ordered.
I perked up and waited for him to continue. He finished his burger and wiped his mouth,
"Well seeing as you don't want to leave the team but cant stay in the main building how about we build a house at the other end of the property? You cant still come on team missions and be with us but you wouldn't have to worry about running into Clint all the time"
I was shocked at first, out of all things to go through my mind I never thought of this. I looked at Steve who gave me a smile and a nod then I turned to Bucky who had the same look.
"That's very generous of you Tony, I don't know what to say" I said in a soft voice.
He moved closer to me and pulled me into a hug.
"You don't have to say anything Zee, your family and family helps each other"
A wide smile came to my face and we spent the rest of lunch going over what I wanted in the house and how big I wanted it, while Tony and I went over the plans Steve and Bucky went for a walk to catch up.
Tony and I left the diner and waited for the super soldiers to come back, after a few minutes they rounded the corner holding a small bag each.
"Hey what did you two get up to?" asked Tony with a raised eyebrow.
"Nothing just picked up something" replied Steve.
We said our goodbyes and went our separate ways, Bucky and I walked back to his apartment.
"So things sorted out with Tony about the house?" he asked me.
"Yeah he said he would get people started on it tomorrow, he says it will take about 5 months to build"
"So where do you wanna stay while they build it doll?"
"I don't know Bucky, I don't want to go back but all my things are there. I'm just gonna have to suck it up for a few months and be around him" I said feeling dejected.
He turned his gaze to me, "What if we stayed in my apartment baby? We can go collect your things and bring them here until its built then move everything there?"
I looked at him wide eyed and shocked.
"Would that really be okay? I don't want to take away your space and alone time"
"Anything for you babydoll" he smiled and kissed the top of my head.
