It was my first day of school. I had just moved here from America, like literally two hours ago our plane landed. I am now late for class. I checked in at the front office and they told me that my class was currently getting ready for a training session. The lady handed me a map and told me the directions to the girls locker room. I completely forgot everything she said though. For heavens sake, I'm in my last year of high school in the hero course no less and I can't even remember simple instructions. I guess I can't be too hard on myself, my body is still trying to adjust to the time difference.
I pulled out the map and look at my surroundings before finding where I was. I chose the quickest route to the girls locker room and make my way there as quickly as possible.
I'm still looking at the map as I open the door.
"I think this is the right room..." I mumble to myself.
"I think you've got the wrong room." I hear someone say and then chuckle.
I look up and immediately turn red. Definitely not the right room...not at all. My body froze in shock, mid step. My mouth hangs open as I gawk at the situation I'm in. I was in the boys locker room...not the girls. They were all either shirtless and in their underwear or getting there. The one who spoke was a tall boy with spiky red hair. He was smirking at me playfully. There was a boy next to him that looked pissed off and was trying to hide his bare chest with a small blush on his face. Another boy was rubbing the back of his neck and was leaning back slightly to see who had come in. This really cute boy was in the middle of wiping his face with his shirt. He had pink cheeks and was looking at me with embarrassment shining in his eyes.
"Naw i think she's in the right room..." a small boy says. Oooo he gives me a creepy vibe...
My body finally unfreezes and I let out a squeak as I turn around and hide my face. I run out as quickly as possible. I can hear laughter emanating from the room behind me. I duck behind a corner and think about what just happened.
I eventually regain my composure and find the girls locker room which isn't too far away.
It looked like everyone had already changed and headed out to the big training building I saw earlier. I think that was the fastest I ever got changed into my hero costume.
I sprinted to the big building and slipped inside as quietly as possible. It looked as though the teacher had just barely started talking to everyone. I stood at the back of the group. Looking around at everyone else I was embarrassed to find that the boys I saw before were in my class.
And then, as if it couldn't get any worse, the teacher noticed me.
"Oh yes, before I forget. We had a new student transfer into our class." He looked directly at me and said, "If you could come to the front please."
My eyes widened as everyone followed his eyes to look at me. I bowed my head slightly and dejectedly walked to the teachers side. I could hear a few snickers come from the crowd and knew it was the boys. A blush crept across my face once again. My ears turned hot and I knew they were bright red. I hadn't even been in the country for more than three hours and I've seen half of the boys in my class almost naked.
"This is Ketly Bell. She just moved here from America. In fact she landed here a little over two hours ago. Be nice. Now get to work."
Everyone dispersed to go about their training. I turned around and looked at the massive structures in the middle of the room. I felt a presence behind me and turned around.
My face smacked right into someone's chest. I almost fell back from the force but a pair of arms caught me. I looked up to the the spiky red haired kid from earlier. He grinned down at me and said, "Hi there! Remember me? The names Ejirou Kirishima. You can call me Ejirou though since you're from America and you're cute."
I blushed and broke eye contact for a split second only to see that his costume was him still being shirtless.
I blushed furiously and said, "H-hi, you already know my name. It's nice to meet you Ejirou."
We were still very close since he was still holding me and I guess the teacher saw and shouted, "Kirishima, stop flirting and start fighting!"
"Sorry sir!" He said with a smile. His arms let go of me and I stepped back a little.
"Well, I was going to spar with Bakugo, the angry one over there, talk to you later Ketly!" He said before running off.
I looked around once again and started walking toward the structures. There was a large piece of rubble sitting on the ground. It looked pretty heavy and would be perfect for my normal training routine. I put out my hand and used my telekinesis to lift it up. I let it hover a few feet off the ground and when I knew that I had a strong grip on it with my mind I strolled over to the base of the tallest structure and began to climb it.
This exercise allows me to train my body and mind at the same time. It's hard but you never know when I'm goin to need to use both at the same time. I blocked everyone else around me out and focused on the task at hand. I climbed and climbed until I reached the top. The boulder had been floating close to me the entire time. And when I got to the top I set it down on the platform.
Time for another exercise. I put out both of my hands and focused on the boulder. My telekinesis wrapped around the thing and I began compressing it till it split down the middle, then splintered, and then was nothing more than a ball of dust floating in the air. I let it fall and a small cloud proofed up from the pile.
I hadn't realized that I was being watched the whole time. When I felt eyes on my body I turned around and looked down. Everyone was positioned so they could watch me. Assess my abilities. The one boy who was blushing hard in the locker room called out, "Holy crap! That was so cool!"
I was caught off guard but shouted back a nervous thank you.
The boy with red and white hair called up next, "Impressive, but how are you going to get down?"
"Dumbass, I can get her." The angry boy shouted. He got into position to come up and get me but I yelled out, "NO. No, I got it."
Then my confident side took over. I was going to show them one of my coolest moves. I took a few steps back and then sprinted and jumped. I heard cries of surprise. My arms were spread wide and I smiled at the adrenaline rush. At the last second flipped to my back and used my telekinesis to grab the durable but stretchy fabric from one of my utility pockets and spread it out below me. My body hit the floating square and I flipped through the air. I landed on my feet like a gymnast and turned to face my classmates while putting away the fabric.
The angry boy was blushing hard. Half and half kid looked slightly impressed. Shy kid and Ejirou both looked awestruck.
I got shy again and tucked my arms around my body.
"See? I can get down myself." I chuckled nervously at the end.
"Alright that's enough training for today. Obviously none of you are doing anything. Go get changed back into regular clothes. I'm feeling nice today so, class dismissed."
All of the other students who weren't paying much attention to me began to go back toward the locker rooms excluding shy boy, angry boy, and Kirishima.
I started to follow the others but was stopped by the shy kid. He was very attractive, green wavy hair, the brightest smile and eyes, and freckles and a blush that decorated his face.
"That was awesome! How did you learn to do that? What's your quirk?"
I laughed lightly and he smiled bigger. I started to walk again and all three of them followed along.
"My quirk is called Psychic. I have telekinesis, can read minds, and can see glimpses of the future. And I learned to do that trick like you learn how to do anything, I trained. My mom signed me up for ballet and gymnastics when I was younger so I incorporated the skills I learned from those."
"Awesome, can you teach me some tricks? I'm always trying to improve my technique. Oh! I'm Izuku Midorya. You can call me Izuku though."
"What did you just say, Deku? Back off." The angry boy interjected and shoved Izulu out of the way.
"Ignore him, he won't stop asking about your quirk if you don't. The names Katsuki Bakugo."
"Nice to meet you Bakugo. Sorry about earlier, I thought I was in the girls locker room."
"It's fine, dumbass." He looked away slightly as a light pink dusted his cheeks.
We parted ways once we got to the locker rooms. I changed back into my school clothes. The girls introduced themselves and we made small talk until we got back to the dorm rooms.
I figured out that the teachers name was Aizawa. He was standing in front of the building and told me where my room was and that all of my stuff was out front. I thanked him and went to go start moving my belongings to my room.
When I walked out front I saw the three boys walking together and chatting lightly. Izuku and Kirishima waved when they noticed me. I waved back before picking up a box with my hands and a few with my telekinesis.
"Hey wait! Let me do that! A lady shouldn't over exert herself, especially since you're new!" Kirishima hoisted the box from my arms and sent a wink my way. He grabbed two others and put them on top.
"Let me help too! Here, I'll take the rest of the boxes." Izuku exclaimed. He grabbed the remaining four boxes and stood there awaiting instructions.
I giggled slightly and was about to float my furniture but Bakugo had already hoisted it all onto his shoulders.
"Where to, Bell?"
The amount of strength I was witnessing in this moment was very attractive. I blushed and stammered out, "F-follow me. I can take a few things you guys."
They all gave me a look that said I wasn't carrying anything. So I led them to the elevator which was somehow big enough for us all but Bakugo ended up having to stand close to me. He towered over me and smirked down at me when he caught me looking at his arms.
"Like what you see shorty?"
My eyes widened and I looked down quickly. I was saved from answering when the bell dinged and the doors opened. I led them to my room and had them set it all in the middle.
"Thanks for the help guys! I really appreciate it." I said with a small smile.
Kirishima smiled and left to study. Bakugo walked up to me and leaned in close to me face.
"I want to see what it looks like when you're done."
I looked up and down his face and just gave him a simple nod, then he left.
Izuku watched Bakugo leave and offered to help me unpack. I accepted but told him I wanted to change into something more comfortable first. He stepped outside while I changed into my grey sweatpants and my pink cropped crew neck. The shirt was long enough to cover my midsection when standing but would show skin if I sat down and bent over or reached for something on a shelf.
I let Izuku back in and we got to setting up my furniture first. He was really strong and was able to pick everything up very easily and put it where I wanted it. I told him he could start opening the boxes while I put my bed together.
"So what do you do when you read someone's mind?"
"Do you want me to show you?"
Izuku shot up with and excited look on his face.
"Yes! Of course!"
"Alrighty," I chuckled, "what do you want to see first? The easy way or the hard way?"
"Hmm hard way first."
"Okay."
I closed my eyes and focused. I could hear some of the thoughts of the people in the building but focused on the boy just across the room.
"Hello? Can you hear me? Is it working yet?"
I smiled at his internal monologue and decided to just speak to him in his head.
"Yes, Izuku. I can hear you."
"Oh wow!"
I could hear his statement out loud and in my head. I broke the connection and opened my eyes. He was looking at me with the excitement of a child.
"What's the easy way?"
I hid my face and said, "It's a little...embarrassing."
"Show me anyway? I mean, heh, you seen me in my underwear. It can't be worse than that."
"Uhhhg don't remind me..." I whined.
I motioned him over to me reluctantly. He sped over and I told him to sit on the bed. We sat cross legged facing each other.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes."
I lifted my hands to his face. My pointer fingers rested on his temples, thumbs on his cheek bones just under his eyes, and my other fingers slipped into his soft hair. I heard him suck in a small breath at my touch. He slightly shivered when I locked eyes with him. I slowly put my forehead against his and closed my eyes. I peeked them open for a second to make sure he closed his eyes too. Then I activated my quirk.
Our minds instantly linked.
I guess he didn't realize what had happened at first because all of his thoughts were:
"She's so close. So pretty. So strong. I wonder if she thinks I'm cute."
I unintentionally giggled in his mind.
"Oh shit...you didn't hear anything did you?"
I got flustered and said, "No! Your...hair...is just tickling me!"
"Oh, sorry about that."
"Can you feel how much stronger the connection is when I do it like this?"
"Y-yeah, it's a weird feeling. Can you do more with your ability like this?"
"Yes, I can sift through your memories this way. Maybe someday I can use it on a villain during an interrogation or something."
"That's a perfect use for it!"
"The only downside is I'm vulnerable as well. You could go through my head if you could figure it out."
"Oh, well that wont be good for the future. Can you put up mental barriers?"
"I can but that also takes training. I haven't found anyone who's willing to let me train on them."
"What if, well, what if you teach me some of your moves, I'll help you with your mental exercises?"
"You'd be okay with that?"
"Well yeah. I'm the one who suggested it."
I was so surprised I broke the link and opened my eyes.
"Really?" I asked out loud.
Izuku looked me in the eyes and said, "Of course!"
I decided to hug him at that moment. He was so warm. It was a short hug and I smiled at him before telling him I could take care of the rest of unpacking.
He told me he would come get me for dinner in an hour and then left.
I spent that whole hour sorting my clothes into the dresser and the closet. I put away most of my junk and was halfway done setting up my desk when Izuku popped his head back in.
"Dinner's ready."
I jumped at his voice and fell onto the ground.
"Holy crap! Izuku! Don't scare me like that!"
He laughed and me and came inside to help me up before we walked together to dinner.
