Ever since people stopped going out, something absolutely terrifying had started happening.

After a week of people not leaving their homes, everybody thought that it had finally left and that they could go back to their peaceful lives again.

"Jaehyun-ah I want to talk to you about something important. Why won't you listen to me, you brat?"

"But hyung I really don't want to talk about this stuff right now! I know what you're going to say. You'll keep nagging about how I should start worrying about my career and stuff."

"Then what do you want to do?"

"I'm hungry." I said.

"Mother is cooking can't you wait?"

"I don't know if I can. Oh! Hyung look the sky's getting dark. It's about to rain-ahh!!"

Thunder struck, catching me off guard. I was just about to complain about the sudden loud sound and blinding light when suddenly someone's voice was heard.

It was distant, barely audible but even so, it had a certain feel to it.

Rich, deep and seductive. It said, no more like sang like a siren,

"Seolhyun, come to me."

"Come out, I'm waiting for you."

Hearing the voice call out my brother's name, I snapped my head towards him.

Looking at him with my mouth agape, he doesn't appear so good, almost like he's having a hard time sitting still.

I called him out,

"Hyung!"

No response.

"Hyung look at me!"

"..."

I stared at him, contemplating my next move, why isn't he responding? Don't tell me, is he actually being lured by that sound?

Thunder struck again and the bright flash momentarily lit up hyung's face which wasn't very clear earlier in the dim light of the lantern.

His eyes glistened with an unknown emotion as he searched for something outside the window, trying to locate the source of the voice as his left palm clenched into a tight fist.

There was a weird desire that had bloomed in his eyes. I was going to call him out again I heard mother's voice beside me, I didn't sense her come until she did that.

"What's wrong son?"

Before I could answer, we heard the creaking of the cot hyung sat on. We let out a surprised shriek as he got up and ran straight to the door.

Oh no no no no!

I ran after him but he was already outside on the courtyard. My eyes widening in horror, I saw him run in the heavy downpour, straight to the red pine tree beside Chittaphon's house.

He stood under it and suddenly, a silhouette dropped down on his shoulders. It did things at an inhumane speed.

I heard the loud and crisp *crack* of his bones breaking as the arch-fiend like creature picked him up and disappeared into the woods at the speed of light.

I was about to chase it but was pulled back by a weak tug at my wrist.

I looked back at my mother, shaking her head from left to right as tears overflowed from her eyes.
