A/n: Haha it's me. I'm not ready. And so are you. I had warned my readers that this story is not going to be for one faint of heart so I'm not going to be putting warnings in every chapter. Still I'll put ⚠︎ where the triggering parts start. However, it has lots of important things in it. That's all.

It's not a surprise that I'm utterly surprised. I'm disgusted. I'm disgusted the most at myself.
Betrayal eating at the organ in the centre of my ribs like maggots devouring a carcass.
I should've known. Should've been more observant. Shouldn't have been so gullible.
As they say the least suspected person is always the murderer. I sighed as I stared up at the wooden ceiling.
Or should I even call them that anymore?
Person?

"So tell me. What have you two been up to while I was gone?"
"Tell her."
He nudged me weakly.
I shook my head and sighed,"Nothing really. I went into the forest and then he caught me. Then we were talking about how I should let him know before going into the forest like that again. That's it."
"Is it?"
"Um..y-yeah what else?"
"Hm."She nodded, totally not buying it. I looked down at the narrow tracks that led towards the village and smiled.
The sounds of our shoes hitting against the rocky mountainous path and the crackling leaves were surprisingly calming. I hummed a song I remembered from that one ball at the hotel.
"Mmhm..my..aurora.."
Closing my eyes for a moment, I breathed in the fresh, cold air before opening them back up.
My elongated shadow on the grey stones raced against me as I tried catching up to it by leaping on my tiptoes and landing at the foot of the dark two dimensional figure.
I jerked and stopped all kinds of motion when I realised the only sounds were coming from my footsteps and occasionally loud humming.
I gasped and looked around me to be met with emptiness. Core thumping wildly against my worn out ribs as the spine-chilling silence suffocated me.
Where did they go? Did I get deflected from the path when I closed my eyes? No that can't be. Even if I did, wouldn't Taeyong stop me?
"T-taeyong? Mother?"
A barely audible whisper came out of my mouth. I twisted around in the same spot and looked towards the village. And then back at the dark forest.
The full moon glaring at me as I glanced up at it, my only companion in this vast void of rocks, trees and grass.
A freezing gust of wind blew past making me clutch at my thin shirt and pull the sleeves down.
