A wise man said money isn't everything
My mother said it is what we need
My father said it provides the family
And fills the stomachs of the mouths to feed
They were right either way
But I always seem to care
Because poor people suffer without it
And I couldn't help to think it's unfair
I have gone through ups and downs
With money or not
But everyone seems desperate
To take the most well paid job on the spot
I can't live without money
And that's what everyone believe and sees
and I know money isn't everything
But not having it is.
