[This is my small tribute to the fathers of PandavaPatnis. Only for Subhadra and Hidimbaa, their elder brothers are taken in place of fathers. These are just snippets which will be detailed out later in Navarupena Samsthitaa.]
"They have driven me away, Pitashri." Ulupi's head was lowered.
Naagraaj Kauravya brought his daughter close with a smile. "Why do you worry while I'm here for you, Putri?"
***
"You are my sole refuge, Vatse. How would I live if you also leave me?" King Chitravahan sighed.
"I'm going nowhere, Pitashri. I promise!" Chitrangada smiled.
***
"Krishnaa, don't lose hope, my child!" King Drupad assured, "If Pandavas prefer peace, this old father of yours will fight for you!"
***
Devika placed her sword on the shoulder of Govasana. "You have lost, Pitashri!"
Tears of joy filled Govasana's eyes. "No Putri. Today I have won!"
***
"No Dhara." The king of Kashi shook his head. "I had to give away my elder daughter to someone like Duryodhan. I won't repeat that mistake again for you!" He smiled at a speechless Valandhara, caressing her.
"You will marry him who wins your heart!"
***
"Putri!" Shishupal rushed to the little Princess who had fallen from her bed. With pounding heart when he collected her in his arms, Princess Karenumati hugged his neck with her tiny arms.
She was the only person who could soften this otherwise cruel King of Chedi.
***
Krishna smiled fondly at a sleeping Subhadra.
How different it was to see her sleeping, the one who was his very own sleep!
***
"Jaya!" A tired Dyutimat sank on his throne. "Learn to sit quiet for a while, Putri! Who will marry such a naughty girl?"
"The calmest of all men, Pitashri!" Little Vijaya giggled, running away again.
***
"I'm sorry, sister!" Hidimb caressed the hot forehead of Hidimbaa who was down with fever, "I couldn't realize that eating human flesh would make you ill. I'll bring fruits for you from tomorrow."
