Chapter 6

(Mike's P.O.V.)
My parents pulled up into the driveway. Everyone scattered everywhere. People were leaving, I saw a few of my friends hide in our 'secret places'. I'm so frigging screwed...

I could hear my mom walking to the front door. Please do note that I'm on the 5th floor AND my mom is wearing flats! Yeah...

I look over to the elevator and see that it's going up. Shoot. "Mike!" Someone called. It was Evan. He stood on the balcony poking his head inside. "Follow me." he said. I scurried outside and saw a rope, with a grappling hook? Who has one of these?

"Party throwers first." Evan said with a smirk. I climbed over the railing and grabbed onto the rope and slid down. it hurt but did you see how pissed my mom was? Yeah, okay. Evan came down after me not long after. We were saved by some of our friends, Damien, Konnor and Madison.

Damien tugged on the grappling hook and got it down in time before my parents could notice it on the balcony.
I forgot we had security cameras, so I pulled out my phone and texted a kid I know who is a hacker, James. I told him to erase the memory from the system from the past five and next five minutes. My friends are awesome.

Once we got the thumbs up from James we dashed towards the bushes. As we were running I heard my mom scream out my name... Highlight of my night... We've done this before. Since it takes my mom a week to cool down when it comes to stuff like this, I'll be staying at Damien's place for a week. Tomorrow one of the maid's daughters, June, -who also just so happens to be like the sister I never had- is going to bring over a duffel bag filled with a weeks worth of clothes and supplies for me.

This plan is always full proof...
