Chapter 19

(Mia's P.O.V)

After our mini make out, my heart was racing at like 100 miles per second.

We were both out of breath.

And just saying...

He isn't the worst kisser...

I blushed at the thought.

"Come with me." he said while grabbing my hand.

"Wait, the stove!" I giggled while turning it off. We walked out the kitchen and Sam and Mike were 'having a moment' so we quietly snuck out the door. We strolled down the neighborhood dancing around, laughing, just having a bunch of fun. It was great!

After our stroll, Evan brought us to this huge, abandoned park. It was messy but beautiful at the same time. We found this massive tree in the back of the park. We started climbing to the top. We were hidden by the leaves under us, not that anyone was here anyways.

We sat next to each other on the branches, admiring the sky and its contents.

"The sky is so beautiful." I said.

"Not as beautiful as you." Evan smirked.

I scoffed. "Evan, thats so cheesy!"

"Cheesy but true!" He remarked.

My cheeks felt all hot and rosy. I looked at him and he grinned at me, pleased with himself for making me feel like this. Then his face straitened a little. He looked up at the stars and bit his lip as if wondering what to say next.

"So I was thinking," he started still looking up. " since I never got to officially ask you," he continued while pulling something out of his pocket. "do you maybe wanna be my girlfriend?" He finally finished while opening a velvet case holding this beautiful silver necklace with my name on it. He watched me waiting for an answer with hope filling his eyes.

"Evan, I'm sorry, no..."

His face dropped and so did his heart. "What...?" He squeaked.

"Just kidding!!!" I grinned.

"What...?" He asked again but with more volume.

"Mia! Do you know how much I was hurting just now!?" He almost screamed.

"You really like me a lot don't you..." I asked.

He nodded slowly as if he just got in trouble by his mom. Wow, I hurt him bad...

I kissed him on the cheek and said "Don't worry, it was only a joke. I do want to be your girlfriend."

He smiled and picked up the necklace and I held up my hair as he put the necklace on. I picked it up and admired it. "Thank you, I love it." I said and pecked his cheek.

He smiled "Anything for you... You know Mia, I am gonna have to get you back for what you did to me just now." he smirked.

When he smirks it never means anything good. I quickly made my way towards the ground with Evan following not far behind me. I dashed as fast as I could far away from him. Then I made the mistake of looking behind me and seeing Evan who was not that far away from me. He picked me up by the waist and I squealed. "Nooo!!!" I screamed.

He laughed and put me down "Wow you run fast!" He huffed. I tried to run away again, despite my lack of energy, but he caught me and brought me towards his chest "I want to hold you forever and never let go." he whispered as he pressed our foreheads together.

"But first, I'm getting you back." he said. Evan started tickling me like crazy.

"E-evan sto-haha-stop!!!" I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. I was about ready to hurt him. "I'm not responsible for your injuries!!!" That made him stop.

"Awwh! I wanted to torture you more, but I also don't wanna get hurt. I cant afford for this to get messed up." he pointed his finger at his face.

"Psh, what do you have to lose?" I teased. He gasped and put a hand over his heart pretending to be hurt. "So rude! You know I'm hot." he smirked. "Sureee!" I replied.
"Oh, you're getting it now!" He said and we were off to running again.

"Where the heck were you guys!!! You had me and Mike all worried! You could have died!" Sam exclaimed as Evan and I burst through the door. "Sam chill! Breathe. We're fine!" Evan said calmly.

"Wait, did you guys... you know, do it?" Mike asked.

"DUDE!" Evan exclaimed.

"So is that a yes?"

"NO!!!"

"Aww..."

Sam smacked him in the head and mumbled 'Idiot'.

"So what did you guys do?" Mike asked. Evan and I glanced at each other and replied
"Nothing..."
