A/N: I havent updated since May 10th 2015. Oml.

"Well well well. Look who it is..." I said.
There's Mike standing in my doorway in shorts and a jacket. "Hey Mia, it's cold out here. Now would be a nice time to let me in please." He smiles while shivering. A gust of wind blows in through the door. It truly is cold.

I step aside to let him in. "Thank you." He steps in and takes off his sneakers and I close the door. "Why are you here Mike? Its late." I asked. It was about 2 am in the morning.  "I came to explain everything." He answered. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. What's supposed to be everything? "Go on..." I said.

"Evan isn't cheating on you. And you may think I'm lying just for him to get you to not be mad at him but I swear it's true." He started. Maggie walked past us with three mugs of hot chocolate in her hands. "That's bull." She mumbled. I looked over at Mike. His eyes are widened. "S-she looks like-" he stuttered. "Yes, yes. Thats my cousin Maggie and we look alike. Let's go sit on the couch." I rolled my eyes.

Maggie had placed the mugs on the counter in the living room. Once we got comfortable, I wasted no more time. "Alright. Explain yourself." I sighed. He took a sip from the mug and began.

"So, Evan did not cheat. I can promise you that. After school I texted him and he wouldn't answer so I went to his house and he was all depressed or whatever. Barely talked."

"Why the hell is he the one all sore and sad? Mia should be the one crying if anything." Maggie almost yelled. She wasn't wrong. I really should be somewhat sad, but I'm more annoyed than anything honestly. "Well she seems to be fine. But anyways. He told me what actually happened Mia. Do you remember the year you moved to New York for four years?" He asked.

When i was in 7th grade, we had to move to New York since my dad got a job there. It killed me having to be the new kid twice. In 7th grade and for Junior year. I had to move away from Sam and all my other friends, my house where all my memories lay and most important, where my grandmother was put to rest.

"Yeah" I answer.

"Well, it just so happened that as you left, we had a new girl come in. Her name was Brooke. Evan, Brooke and I were really close but Evan and Brooke kinda hit it off by the second year. They were super close. Skip ahead to when Brooke had to move back a year later. They were both really depressed about it. Brooke thought when she came back, whether it be for vacation or to stay, that her and Evan would still be a thing.

"So that's why she was eating his face off?" Maggie asks dryly. She obviously isn't taking any of this in too nicely. And you'd think thats how I would react, but I'm so over this that my emotions towards fhe situation are nul.

"Yes. And now Evan's at home, sulking around, not answering my calls, nothing. When I went over to see why he's not answering any calls, he wouldn't talk.  He's gone mute. He'll nod 'yes' or 'no' if necessary but that's it. Otherwise, I'd have to get him to write or type anything. I kinda feel bad for the guy. I mean, he didn't mess up this time but he knows you'll probably never talk to him again or something. You need to go talk to him Mia.

I can talk to you and try to change you but is it worth it in the end? Is it really worth trying to like - maybe even love - you again?
