Chapter 3

Time skip: 5 years, Naruto and Shikamaru age 12

Naruto POV

Today is me and Shika's last day at the academy, I'm both excited and nervous. "Naru it's fine, you'll pass" Shika said, it's almost as if he can hear my thoughts. "Thanks, I'm just worried about if we'll be on the same team or not" I said "Well we'll see, but whatever happens, I love you" he said... I think my heart is gonna jump out my chest, this is the first time he's said that! "I love you too Shika I said, he chuckled and kissed me "Good, I was starting to worry when you took so long to reply" he said "Sorry I was just shocked" "it's fine, anyway let go in so Iruka-sensei doesn't bite our heads off" I giggled and followed behind him through the door.

Third person POV

As the boys walked in they were met with books to the face, "WHERE WERE YOU TWO AND WHY ARE YOU LATE?!" Iruka yelled "we were sleeping, gotta problem?" Shikamaru countered and Iruka sighed "have a seat" they boys did as they were told and Iruka began explaining the exam. "Up first, the Nara's" he said, Shikamaru groaned and Naruto sighed. Once in front of the class Iruka told them to make a shadow clone. "KAGEBUTSU NO JUTSU" the boys yelled, with a puff of smoke six shadow clones were revealed, three from Shikamaru and three from Naruto. "Very good" Iruka stated and the boys took their seats.

Time skip when Iruka announces the teams

"Team 7: Sensei Asuma Sarutobi, genin Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Nara, Shikamaru Nara," Iruka said, Sakura raised her hand and said "Sensei why can't I be on Sasuke's team?" "Ask the Hokage if it bothers you"Iruka replied. Sakura huffed and crossed her arms. Naruto and Shikamaru almost did a happy dance when they found out they were on the same team. "Congratulations and wait here for your Senei's, good luck" Iruka said before he left.

Naruto's POV

As we waited for our Sensei's, me and Shika started talking. At first it was just random topics until, "Hey Naru, when do you want to have kids?" Shika asked, I immediately spit out my water and stared at him in shock, "What- why are you asking?" "Because I- I kinda wanted to have some when we turn 18..." he mumbled "Never mind it was dumb to ask-" ha said, I quickly covered his mouth "Ok then lets start thinking of names since thats only  6 years away" I said. Shika's eyes sparkled and he attacked me with kisses and thank you's, "ok so for a boy I was thinking Shikadai or Boruto?" he said, nodded "for a girl I was thinking Himawari?" he continued "I like it, now write that down so we don't forget when the time comes-" I was cut off by asuma sensei clearing his throat, "I hope I'm not interrupting something but we need to get this show on the road" he said, me and Shika glared at him before sighing and standing up. "Good, state your name, likes, dislikes, your hobbies, and your goal I'll go first" "My name is Asuma Sarutobi, my likes are Kurani, my dad, smoking and having fun, my dislikes are my father, and paper work, my hobbies are going on dates with Kurani, playing shoji, and smoking, my goal is to marry Kurani and have kids with her." he said. "Uchiha, your turn" he said, Sasuke sighed and said "my name is Sasuke I don't have any likes, my dislikes are Donzo and my hobby is training, my goal is to find my brother and join him." he stated blankly. "Ok Shikamaru go" "My name is Shikamaru, my likes are cloud watching, my husband Naruto, playing shoji, and sleeping, my dislikes are seeing Naruto sad or hurt, and waking up in the morning, my hobbies are playing shoji, making Naru happy, and cloud watching, my goal is to have kids with Naruto" Shika said, I blushed "my name is Naruto, my likes are cloud watching with Shika, watching Shika play shoji and cooking, my dislikes are the same as Shika except for him and my hobbies are cloud watching with Shika and sleeping, my goal is the same as Shika's " I said.
