Chapter 15

Naruto's POV

Menma called grandma Tsunade and then we went to sit down seeing as she'll be here in a few minutes. Seconds after my butt hit the couch there was a 𝑝𝑜𝑜𝑓 and grandma Tsunade was standing in front of us. "So, you managed to knock him up right after I give you time off from duty" she said to Shika. She shook her head, then proceeded to run a hand over me. "Well you knocked him up alright, twins, boys" she said, Shika and I were frozen from shock. Not only was I pregnant, but TWINS?!?!?

After the shock faded some Shika hugged me and cried from joy. "IM GONNA BE A DAD" he yelled teary eyed as he squeezed me carefully. I hugged him back and we basked in the short lived shock of my being pregnant. "YOUR GONNA BE WHAT?!?!?" Mom yelled from the kitchen. Uh-oh.

Mom and dad came stomping in the room, looking a mix of shocked and angry. "ARE YOU EVEN MARRIED" she asked. We nodded, "we've been married for 11 years now" I said. Mom looked livid and dad looked shocked. "YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL US?!?!?!?" my parents and siblings yelled in unison. We shrugged, "we thought you'd notice our rings, or have guessed by the fact that I marked him" Shika explained. They all looked dumbfounded. "Well still you could have said something" Menma said, his scent smelled like chocolate but it had a slight bitterness to it. "Hey, Menma, are you ok" I asked, he nodded, but slightly scowled. I walked over, sensing he was lying and as soon as I was in arms reach, he pulled me into a hug and buried his face in my hair. I wrapped my arms around him and we just stood there hugging.

After about fifteen minutes of just hugging Menma broke the silence. "I'm sorry, I just want you to trust me enough to rely on me, even if only as someone to confide in" he whispered, just loud enough for me to hear. "I already do, your an amazing brother and I already know I can trust you whole heartily, it just took some time for me to see it" I replied, I made sure to whisper just loud enough for him. He nodded and pulled me closer, before he broke the hug and I was dragged into Shikamaru's arms. "Troublesome blonde" he muttered, I giggled at his grumpyness. "Can we cloud watch now" he asked, "sure, but let's eat first" I replied, he nodded and as if on cue, mom dragged all of us to the dining room.

The table was full of a variety of breakfast food. There were pancakes, waffles, French toast, sausages, bacon hashbrowns etc. I sat in a chair only to be picked up and placed in Shikamaru's lap. "Shika, really" I whined, he just nodded and began to fill a plate with French toast, over-easy eggs, bacon, and hash browns. He then grabbed a plate for me and put two pieces of toast with grape jelly on it. He then added scrabbled eggs, and bacon. He sat my plate infront of me and I began to construct my sandwich. I left the bacon on the side and began to dig in, after thanking the food of course.

We all ate in a blissful silence until Mito broke it. "Hey Ruto, what's cloud watching and why does Shikamaru want to do it" she said, using what I assumed to be my new nickname. "Yeah, what is it Ruto" Naruko asked. "It's a Nara thing, they love cloud gazing, it's very relaxing and peaceful" I replied, "it also helps Shika think better" I said. They nodded, "So Ruko, are you dating anyone yet" I asked, she blushed and looked at her plate. "Maybe" she said, "name, child we need a name" Mito said. "Choji Akamichi" she blurted, me and Shika nearly choked on air. "CHOJI AHAGAHHAHAHAHHA OMG HOW DID YOU SNAG HIM" Shika and I laughed out. "Wait, who's Choji and why are Ruto and Shikamaru laughing so hard" Mito asked, "Choji is the heir to the Akamichi clan-" "And Shika's best friend" I cut in, Naruko stared at me and Shika in disbelief. "WHAT?! HE NEVER MENTIONED THAT" she yelled, "anyway how'd you snag him, food?" Shika asked, "actually yes, we met at Ichirakus" she said. Shika chuckled and I just grumbled. "Damnit, now I owe Ino 30,000 yen" I said, Shika wheezed so hard that I couldn't help but laugh. "YOU TWO BET ON WEATHER CHOJI WOULD GET A GIRLFRIEND AT YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT AHAHAHAHHAHA" Shika laughed, I sighed in defeat.

"Wait Ichirakus is your favorite restaurant" Menma said, "yeah I used to go there all the time which by the way we should stop by later and visit Teuchi, and Ayame." I said Shika, who had calmed some, nodded in agreement. "You know their names?" Mito questioned, "yeah we're on a first name basis" I said, "hey Shika you think Ayame would like that kimono we saw back in that village" I thought allowed, "Yeah, she'd probably love it and wear it every chance she got" "yeah, oh and I found that one ramen pot, Old man Teuchi wanted" "perfect" Shika said. I looked up to see the confused faces of my family. "Sorry, shadow clone shopping" I said, blushing in embarrassment. They laughed and we continued to chat about random stuff.
