Chapter 5

Time skip: six months

Shikamaru POV

Today I'm gonna surprise Naru. I'm gonna take him on a date! First we'll go to Ichirakus for Ramen, his favorite food. Then we'll go to the forest and hangout in a clearing I found that has a fox den since he loves foxes. After it gets dark we'll go home and cuddle and watch our favorite movies. I'm excited!

Third person POV

Shikamaru began rushing to get everything setup for the date. After he finished he went home to wake his beloved husband, Naruto. "Oi! Naru! Wake up we gotta go somewhere!" He yelled as he shook the sleeping beauty. "Mmm, Shika! Five more minutes!" Naruto whined, "No now! Unless you don't want Ichiraku for breakfast" the taller boy teased. This got Naruto's attention. He jumped out of bed, kissed Shikamaru on the cheek and got ready for the day in a matter of seconds. "Done lets go Shika!" the shorter boy yelled "alright lets go" Shikamaru replied.

Time skip to when the got to the clearing

Naruto's POV

Shika let us to the forest of death and to a clearing in the forest. He jestured me to sit down. And as I did two foxes slowly walked up and sniffed us. One of them was a beautiful black color, she took a liking to Shika and layed on his lap to sleep. The other one, a beautiful orange color, liked me and layed in my lap to rest. More foxes came out and layer around us to take naps. It was amazing! It was so peaceful. "Hey Shika?" I said, "hmm...?" he grunted in response, "thanks for bringing me here" I said. "No problem, I knew you loved foxes so when I found this place I knew you'd love it here" he replied. I looked at him with so much gratitude. I had been having a stressful week and he goes and does this?! God what did I do to deserve him!

We sat there until it got dark, we then began to head home. While we were walking, we saw Sasuke and Sakura talking (more like arguing) Sasuke then shushined behind her, said something and knocked her out. He then began to head towards the gate to leave the village! Me and Shika looked at each other before we began to follow him. I sent a shadow clone Hokage tower to let them know the situation.

Shikamaru's POV

As we followed Sasuke, we saw him meet up with a group on people who looked weird. They spoke for a second before they began heading further away from the village. We followed them until they stopped and did some weird ritual and put Sasuke in a basket. Strange. Naruto got word from the Hokage, to continue while backup was on the way and to avoid confrontation at all costs. With us both being chunin we were going to be the leaders of the group that was our backup. After a few hours of following the group with Sasuke our backup arrived. Kiba, Neji, and Choji, good. I told them the plan and formation, they seemed to understand so we began to follow the group again. What an eventful day that was.
