VIOLET'S POV

I walked out of the convenient store and I opened my bag of Doritos. I wanted to celebrate me making sixty-two dollars. Even though I said I skipped lunch, I still bought the bag of chips. I cooked at my surroundings and realized the perfect spot for prefoming. Central Park. I strolled down the sidewalk for about fifteen minutes when

I went up to a woman and questioned, "Do you know what time it is?"

"It's two thirty," she replied with a smile.

I grinned at the fact that my life maybe isn't as bad as I think it is. I just have to believe and always have hope. As before, I settle the bowl down, "Does anyone have suggestions for a song?" I ask.

A girl about ten walks up to me with her mom. She has on black jeans and a pink North Face. "Hi, do you know how to play the song, Amnesia by 5 Seconds of Summer?" she asks.

How do you play that song? I'm trying to go back into my memory to see if I have ever learned it. I stand there for another two minutes as I go into the files of my brain, to see if I have ever taken the time out to teach myself the song. I hear it almost everyday on the radio. Ah ha, the wheels started churning and I did play that song. It is one of the first songs I have learned.

I sat on a bench and patted the spot next to me, motioning for the girl to sit next to me. I picked the first few strings and I closed my eyes, feeling in sync with the song, I started singing.

I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted
I thought about our last kiss, how it felt, the way you tasted
And even though your friends tell me you're doing fine

Are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he's right beside you?
When he says those words that hurt you, do you read the ones I wrote you?

Sometimes I start to wonder, was it just a lie?
If what we had was real, how could you be fine?

'Cause I'm not fine at all

I finished up the first verse of the song. I looked down at the chipped container and it saw it filling with dollars and change. I picked up my head up at the crowd that was forming and I noticed four guys standing near the back with sunglasses, hodies, and fake moustaches. I finished the song and I told them I had to get going. The four boys walked up to me and complimented my preformance. "That was an awesome show!" the one with colored hair sticking out of his hood said.

"Thank you, well I better be going," I replied without thinking twice, "You look vaguely farmilliar."

"Um," the one on the right said, "Here."

Another one handed me six hundred dollars! I feel as if I am going to faint. Then I realized. Australian accents, super tall, super cute, and lots of money. This is 5 Seconds of Summer.
