YOU

Completely bonkers. Seokjin’s plan was dangerous, utterly insane.

But it was the only thing that could maybe help, the only way to save Hoseok from Seok-jun’s hold and rid yourselves of the deranged wizard for good. It was risky; the chances of it backfiring greatly outranged the possibility of it actually working out.

“Got a better idea?” Yoongi rebuffed as you expressed your disbelief and concern on the execution of your friend’s plan.

“Not really, no—” you really couldn’t find another solution, no matter how hard you squeezed your brain for one.

“Then let’s trust Seokjin on this one.”

“Hoseok’s disappeared,” Jungkook muttered as he still gazed upon the meadow,
“Does that mean he’s in?”

“That’s our queue, yes,” Yoongi nodded.

The three of you bolted out of the small woods that bordered Seokjin’s ancestral property and headed towards the location of Namjoon’s powerful spell. As you approached, you recognized Seokjin, Taehyung and Jimin joining you closer to the gates that had now appeared in sight.

“Incredible, I knew Namjoon was capable of such things, but wow—” Jimin gasped,
“It’s just like that day, in Mahoutokoro, with the ghost aurors…”

You remembered well. Namjoon’s illusions were crafted impeccably, imitating reality perfectly.

“All we have to do now is go inside as well. Once we’re in, we’ll be trapped in the illusion as well. Remember, everything you see isn’t real… except for us, Namjoon, Hoseok’s body and the bow. We have to make sure Seok-jun doesn’t recognize us, he mustn’t suspect our presence.” Yoongi reminded everyone of what was to come.

“Seokjin… are you sure it’s going to work?” you whispered to your friend.

“I’m positive it’s our only real option to save Hoseok... so we have to try.” Seokjin smiled confidently.

“At least Namjoon’s risking his own neck, for once,” Jimin grinned, and was met by Yoongi and Seokjin’s cold eyes staring back,
“What? I’m only saying what we’re all thinking,” your best friend pouted with his plump beaky lips. Jimin wasn’t wrong, it was what you were all thinking, for sure.

Namjoon usually crafted plans that insured his close friends’ protection, and his own, excusing that behavior with the ‘bow’s safety’; and he wasn’t entirely wrong to have done so in the past, it was primordial that Seok-jun didn’t discover where they had hidden the bow, before. This time, he volunteered himself to lure Seok-jun, and face him off, right where everything should have gone down twelve years prior.

“How do we know he’s the one in control, and that it’s not Hoseok?” you wondered, worried about your friend.

“We’ll know soon enough,” Yoongi exhaled,
“If Seok-jun is in control, he’ll head straight to the sacred room. Hoseok wouldn’t know where to find it,”

“Only my family knows where the entrance is,” Seokjin added.

“Let’s hurry, then,” Taehyung muttered an enchantment that would silence your footsteps and hide your presence from sight; then, he opened the gates with his wand, and you all proceeded to follow, wands in hand, ready to defend yourselves and cast at will.

You contained your awe as your eyes lingered upon the beauty of the manor. Every inch was impeccable, wood columns sculpted and perfectly harmonized into a structure that felt both extremely light-weight and sturdy. You felt startled at the sight of Hoseok turning around, just a few meters ahead of you, who was scrutinizing the manor with oblivious eyes – though you all were standing in plain sight, you passed by completely un-noticed thanks to Taehyung’s spell.
