A/N: Just another reminder that I'm not used to coronations or really anything with royal families. I based this off of the Queen's coronation in England, but also, I wrote it how I wanted to write it. I couldn't stop thinking about The Princess Diaries when I was writing this haha. This also is not the end, I'm thinking maybe another chapter. I can't believe this is almost over :'(

The day had finally arrived.
Today was the day I'd become King of Gravensnod with Philo.
The weather couldn't be more perfect, even though the coronation wouldn't be happening outside. The castle had a separate room that it would happen in, but all of Gravensnod would be watching from the screens set up outside. The staff in the castle had been working their asses off making everything look absolutely gorgeous.
I took one final look around the empty throne room before having to go get ready. This room wasn't used very often but it was the most formal room in the entire castle. Mainly because there were two thrones set up in the middle, red velvet and rubies covering them. There were formal pictures over the walls of previous rulers, my eyes finding my parents. It was crazy to think that in just a few days Philo and I's portrait would also hang up there, forever. My fingers grazed over the fresh flowers that were brought in last night, which really gave the room a nice floral aroma. With that I left the room, greeting multiple people on my way up the stairs.
My hands shoved into my pockets as I walked up to the room that Philo was changing in. I slowly leaned in the doorway while looking at him, looking the king he was. He was standing on a pedestal in front of a large mirror already dressed in his royal attire. We'd actually be wearing the same thing today since we were stepping into the roles as kings together, but he looked better in the outfit.
The traditional Gravensnod coronation outfit for a king consisted of black pants, shiny black boots, and a black pea coat that was decorated with gold and red. Over that we wore a very long red robe that also had gold patterns stitched into it. The robe was pretty heavy and since we were inside I made sure to put on a hell of a lot of deodorant. Luckily these outfits weren't mandatory, just for coronations. To top it all off we'd get a crown, which was covered in diamonds and rubies. Since Gravensnod had never had two kings before, another crown for Philo had to be made. Typically my mother's tiara would be used but Philo is not a woman and deserves a crown. Luckily it was able to be made when we first got married, since they take a little bit. But his crown was ready and now, if there ever are two kings ruling together again, they'd both have a crown.
I watched Philo look at himself in the mirror, the ring on his finger sparkling in the light. When we had woken up this morning he was so excited he was practically bouncing on the bed. I hadn't seen him this excited since Ari told us the engagement news. I'd never seen that level of happiness on Ari's face before, and I couldn't be happier for them. I still remember how nervous Fyn was when he came to me that day, acting so nervous I thought something was wrong.
A knock came from my office door, making me look up from the document I was reading. "Come in," I said while taking a sip from the teacup on my desk.
Fyn was poking his head into the doorway before asking, "Do you have a minute to talk?"
"Of course," I said while putting the teacup down. "Come on in."
He was then walking inside before shutting the door behind him, the look on his face making me nervous. He was starting to nervously ring his fingers together as he walked over and stood behind the chair in front of my desk. His fingers were then digging into the soft fabric of the chair as he continued to fidget.
