Chapter 6

Darcey POV

I was sitting on my bed with Bear next to me. It's crazy because our Junior year starts in one week. The summer was awesome! I got a boyfriend that I can trust, I'm not worried about anything and I'm gonna be a senior in two years and this year I can go to prom! It's truly awesome. I almost forgot that Khai left. I probs shouldn't have remembered because I just felt better about it.

"Darcey are you gonna try out for the cheer team?" Bear asks "I'm the quarterback and usually the quarterback and the cheer captain dates and we are dating. Your good at cheer anyways" he blabs

"Actually Bear I'm going to tryouts today" I said

"Yes!" He cheers.

Dad comes in and tells me we have to go to tryouts. "You ready?" He asks

"Yup" I chirped

We walk into the car and drive to tryouts. 4 hours passed and I got the results... I'm on the team and I am the captain! "Honey that's amazing! Your on the team" he smiles

"I gotta tell bear" I say pulling out my phone.

"Ah Darcey it's great that your team captain" Hannah scoffs. She's the schools most popular girl. She's also a royal bitch.

"What you jealous that your not?" I laugh

"Listen I will always be captain. I decided to go easy on everyone" she lied

"Oh yeah sure" I said sarcastically

"Good luck. See you in school" she said

"Who was that?" Dad asks

"Hannah. Remember I got food poisoning from her?" I said

"Oh yeah her" he responded

In the car we get an emergancy broadcast. "There is a criminal on the loose from prison. He robs peoples houses and belongings so please stay where you are and don't come out! Also severe rain is coming on the way so please seek shelter!" The lady announces. We weren't even near home! There is a criminal and rain storm coming and we aren't supposed to be out!

Dad takes out his phone and calls Louis. "Hey boobear we just heard an announcement stating that there is a criminal and rain coming and we are stuck in traffic coming home from Darcey tryouts. Tell Bear she made the team and is captain. I'll try to be home as soon as possible. Love you bye" he hangs up the phone and looks at me.

"What?" I chuckled

"We're stuck in traffic so we can't move" he said

"I'm aware dad" I roll my eyes and take out my phone

"Hey bear!" I said

" Hey" he said

"I just wanted to tell you I'm captain and made the team" I smiled

"I know Louis just told me. But be careful please! What highway are you on?" He asks

"Uhhhh route 23" I respond

"Oh shit" he gasped

"What what's wrong?" I asked panicking

"There has been an accident on that highway! Be careful please!!" He begs

"I will" I fake smiled

"I love you" he said

"Love you too" I whispered and hung up.
