Chapter 8

Bear POV

It was early morning and I put my alarm to 6:00 so I can convince my dad to pick up Darcey. Luckily he said yes. I got ready and ate my breakfast and got my backpack down so around that time it was 7:15. School starts at 8.

"My baby boy is a junior" dad sniffles

"Dad relax. Get ready cuz we gotta pick Darcey up in 15 minutes" I instructed

"Are you ready?" He asked

"Yup" I chirped "I just gotta get my phone and skateboard"

"I don't think you should bring that to school" he said

"Why not?" I questioned

"Because where will you put it? And that's limited edition so you won't be able to get a new one" he said

"Oh right. I guess I won't bring it." I put it back in my closet and got a gift ready for Darcey. It was a picture of me and her that my dad took the day we first started dating. I even framed it.

"Bear cmon I'm leaving now" dad yelled

"Okay I'll be right there" I shouted back putting the photo in my backpack

Darcey POV

"My baby is a junior" Harry sobbed into Louis chest

"Dad your embarrassing me" I rolled my eyes and threw my backpack over my shoulder

"Bear is picking you up right?" Louis asked

"Yup" I said popping the 'p'

"If anyone asks tell them that your dad is in one direction" Harry joked

"Why?" I asked

"Your last name is Styles. As in 'Harry styles' people are obviously gonna ask questions" he reminded

"Fred whos bringing you to school?" Louis asked

"Uhhhh I think Owen" he replied in a question

"Okay. Darcey Bear is here. Have fun. Don't get into any fights I don't wanna come to school" Harry warned "literally they are gonna trample me if they see me"

"Alright bye dad" I gave my dad a hug and left

"Hey" I said and kissed bears cheek

"Hello love" he smiled.

"Ahh juniors. I remember when Harold brought you home from the hospital" Liam sighed

"Was I cute?" I giggled

"Very. But I remember when Bear was born like it was just yesterday" he continued.

"DAD! STEP ON IT! We're gonna be late" Bear shouted

Liam drove us to school. "Bye dad" Bear waved

"Bye guys. Bear walk Darcey to all her classes and look out for her" Liam ordered

"Yup" he said and walked away with me.

"What do you have first period?" He asked leaning against the locker next to mine

"Uhhhh I have English history" I replied. "You?"

"Same. I'll walk you." Bear said

"Okay." I smiled and took his hand. He pulled back. "Bear? What the heck! Why'd you do that??"

"People are looking Darcey." He whispered heavily.

"I want them to know" I argued

"Darcey your a pain in my ass you know that right?" He sighed and took my hand

"I know" I chirped. We walked into our history class to see.... Khai????? What's she doing back here?? "Khai??" I asked shocked

"Hey girl I decided to move back. I don't want to stay in California" she explained

"It's great that your back... I'm shocked" I said

"I wanted to surprise you" she hugged me.

"Alright class take your seats. I'm mr Gura and I'm gonna be your history teacher. Let's take attendance. Looks like we got a few celebrities in here" mr gura ordered. "I'm gonna call your name and your gonna stand up and tell us something about yourself. Darcey Styles"

"I'm Darcey. My dad is Harry Styles and I like to surf" I stood up and said 2 things about myself.

"Bear Payne." He named

"I'm Bear... I have a girlfriend and my dad is best friends with Darceys dad. I also skateboard" he winked at me causing me to blush

"Interesting. Khai Malik" he named the last student.

"I'm Khai. Darcey is my best friend and sometimes we go surfing together. I'm a fan of Justin Bieber too" Khai listed. Best friends? She really thinks we're best friends after what she put me through.

After that the teacher passed us our History 3 textbooks for the year. Khai kept smiling at me and trying to talk to me. "Miss Malik do I need to give you detention tomorrow???" Mr Gura growled

"No sir" she whispered

"Detention tomorrow for talking in my class. Let's talk about rules. I do not tolerate talking in my class. Is that understood?? Homework in my class is due two days after I assign it. Am I making myself clear?" He shouted

"Yes sir" we all said. Just like that history was over.

"He's tough" Bear shuddered

"He's not that bad" I reassured him

"Hello?? He gave me detention just for trying to talk to you. That's cold" Khai scoffed

"Maybe you shouldn't have tried to talk to me" I shot back

Bear Khai Grace and Freddie were looking at me with their jaws dropped. "Well excuse me for trying to talk to my best friend" she snarled and folded her arms

"Who said we are best friends??" I growled

"Oh that's it" khai launched in and attacked me. Like fist fighting in the middle of the hallway while I was trying to back away she kept going at me and Bear tried to pull her back. What's up with her???

"Khai stop it!" I yelled blocking her hand from hitting my face. Not so much luck with that because she already punched my eye.

"Break it up!" The teacher walked in and pulled Khai off me. Was she just attacking me?? "All of you to the principals office! NOW!" She yelled

This is unbelievable!!

"Alright Khai Malik Grace Horan, Bear Payne, Freddie Tomlinson and Darcey Styles. In my office now!" The princaple called us in. "Getting into fights on the first day of school? Come on I thought you guys are best friends"

"I thought we were" Khai turned her head to the window avoiding contact with me. "Darcey and I aren't friends anymore"

Bear POV

In the principals office on the first day of school. Khai just attacked Darcey and the principal is calling Zayn and Harry.

*20 mins later*

"My baby! Are you okay??" Harry came straight to Darcey, who had a black eye

"I'm fine dad" she replied

"Mrs Farkwad what happened??" Zayn shouted

"Mr Malik your daughter and Mr. Styles daughter got into a fist fight at the lockers on the way to second period. Darcey seems pretty beat up and where I'm understanding is that Khai started attacking Darcey and she didn't fight back and Bear Grace and Freddie tried to separate them and Darcey got hit in the eye." mrs Farkwad explained. "For violating our rules Khai will be expelled from the school"

"KHAI MALIK!! We are going home and your going back to California" Zayn yelled

"But dad!" She whined

"Mrs farkwad I'm so sorry about this" harry apologized to the principal

"It's okay"
