Catherine's POV:
So eventhough me and Robert are divorced, I decided to keep Avery as my surname. But no matter what, I'm a Fox. I didn't want to give Caitlan the surname Avery because Robert ain't her daddy. I'm grateful that Harper hasn't left Caitlan out though, he treats her the same as he treats Jackson.

It's Caitlan's first birthday tomorrow! She can crawl now and she crawls all over the place. And she's quite fast. She hasn't started talking yet though.

I was sitting on the sofa with Jackson, wrapping Caitlan's birthday presents. Then I realised that it was quiet. A little too quiet. "Jackson darling have you seen Caitlan?" I asked. "Yeah momma, she's right over-" Jackson went to point to Caitlan's play mat, but he noticed his little sister wasn't there. "Nope I dunno where she is." He said, trying not to laugh. Did I mention she's mischievous?

Both me and Jackson got up and started looking for Caitlan. "Caitlan!" Jackson shouted. "Caitlan Grey Fox, where are you darling?" I said loud enough but with a smile.

We went into the kitchen and heard little giggles. "Momma you hear that?" Jackson whispered. "I most certainly do, darling." I smiled and I pointed to a cupboard. Jackson opened it and there she was. Caitlan was sat in the cupboard, giggling her little head off. I put my hands on my hips and smiled. "Little Miss Fox, what are you doing in there?" Caitlan reached her arms out and said "mama!" Her first word! I lifted her out the cupboard and spun her around. "Did she just say 'mama'?"Jackson asked. "She most certainly did! My clever girl." I kissed her cheek and she started babbling 'mamamama'. "Jackson, darling will you hold her a minute whilst I move her presents?" I asked Jackson and he nodded.

I went back in the living room and moved the presents upstairs, I'll bring them back down later when Caitlan is asleep. When I came back downstairs, I saw Jackson holding Caitlan's hands, walking about. Then Caitlan let go of his hands and started walking towards me. I crouched down and opened my arms out. Caitlan started giggling and walked faster into my arms. "You're going to be causing more mischief now that you're walking, ain't ya?" I laughed and Caitlan giggled and started playing with my hair.

It's Caitlan's birthday! How is my baby girl one already? Both her and Jackson stayed in my bed last night. I woke up to Caitlan sitting on my chest. "Happy Birthday baby girl." I smiled - Caitlan didn't understand but she started laughing and gave me a kiss. Jackson then woke up and said happy birthday to his baby sister.

We went downstairs, and Caitlan opened her presents with Jackson's help. She got some new toys and clothes, and a locket that had a photo of me, Caitlan and Jackson in it (she's too young to wear it but she can wear it when she's older), she loved them all. Especially a teddy bear off Jackson. It had the word 'sister' woven into it. As soon as Caitlan saw it, she gasped and cuddled it. It was no secret that it was her favourite present.

For breakfast, I made chocolate chip pancakes. Caitlan and Jackson demolished them.

We spent the day having fun - playing with Caitlan's new toys and lots of cuddles. We got dressed for dinner; Harper was coming round with Caitlan's presents. When he came, Caitlan ran upto him. "Look at you sweetheart! Walking already!" Harper lifted her up. He then gave her her presents: a teddy surgeon and a little surgeon's costume. I should have seen that one coming. But Caitlan loves them. "Thank you Harper" I smiled.

Well my baby girl has truly been spoiled. She's worth it though, as is Jackson. Both of my babies fell asleep in my bed, Caitlan cuddling her new teddy off Jackson. I got in next to them and wrapped the three of us up. "Night night my babies, mommy loves you so much." I whispered before falling asleep.

Okay this one was a wee bit longer but not much. Hope y'all like it still
