chapter 30

"He said that?!" Damiano said loudly, clearly not happy. Vic and I were back at my place, and she made me tell the rest of the group about our little encounter with Dean.

"He did." I said nodding my head.

"I really don't feel like leaving you tomorrow." Damiano said shaking his head.

"I'll be okay. I have a feeling that he's not going to do anything." I said taking a step closer to him.

"Still... maybe I should-" He started but I cut him off.

"There's nothing you can do right now. I appreciate you wanting to stay here to protect me, I really do, but you have your own life too. Like we said yesterday, you have stuff to do in Rome just like I have stuff to do here... I'll be okay, I promise." I said cupping his cheek with one of my hands.

"Promise me you'll be safe." He said seriously.

"I promise." I said smiling at him.

"Good." He said before wrapping his arms around me, pulling me in a hug.

"You guys are grossly cute." Thomas said before being hit on his arm by Vic's elbow, which made Damiano and I laugh at them.

"Thanks?" I said laughing.

Later that day, Damiano and I were sitting in front of the piano I had on my living room. We had the idea of doing an Instagram live and sing some songs for the fans.

"Hey guys!" I said as I saw people started to join.

"Hey everybody!" Damiano said happily, placing his arm around my shoulders.

"How are you guys?" I asked and saw some people answer.

"So, Kathy here and I, had this idea of singing something for you so drop some ideas." Damiano said as we kept reading some comments.

A lot of people suggested Little do you know by Alex and Sierra; This is me by Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas; Like to be you by Shawn Mendes and Julia Michaels. We sang the first two songs and were now onto the third.

"I love this song so I'm actually pretty excited about this one." I said laughing lightly.

"She used to have a huge crush on Shawn Mendes a few years back." Damiano said laughing at me.

"Oh, leave me alone." I said rolling my eyes at him playfully. He laughed at me, and then started to play.

Damiano sang so perfectly that I was getting lost in the moment. Only came back to reality when I noticed him nodding his head for me to join him.

We sang together and it still amazed me how beautifully our voices blended together.
