SOMETIMES Vera wasn't really as confident as she pretended to be, she got nervous, the waves calmed her, liquid nictotine. Andy always told her smoking wasn't good but she never really listened, listening was...overrated.

Come to think of it, she was a jerk to Andy, all the time, and he never cared, he always came back, kind and caring as ever. Vera wasn't sure how far she could push him before he stopped coming back.

Maybe thats what Posideon wanted, he wanted to see how far Vera could go, if she was willing to be all alone. Was she?

She got in a fight with Andy, the two arguring and she stormed out, renting a jet ski and letting it take her out as far as she could go, until the jet ski was out of juice and she was stranded, she leaned against the useless contratpion and closed her eyes.

In the water, all alone, it was comforting, the waves rocking her gently.

She swam the several miles back home, letting the jet ski float in front of her, she didn't get back till it was dark out.

She was wet and cold, but when she came back to the hotel Andy was waiting, throwing a towel over her, scolding her gently.

Maybe she was safe with him, he really wouldn't leave.
