"Jaden, where are you? I've been outside for like half an hour!" I tell my best friend, Jaden, over the phone. He had texted me about an hour ago telling me to meet him at his house, since he'd just finished hockey practice. I've only known Jaden for about 8 months but we've gotten super close during these few months. "Sorry (Y/N)! I didn't know there would be this much traffic on the way back, I think it'll be at least an hour before I make it home. You can wait for me inside though, play some video games or watch a movie in my room if you want. Josh is home so I'll just call him and tell him to let you in." He said "Are you sure? Won't it be awkward since he doesn't know me?" I asked. I had already met his brother Jonah and yes, I knew who Josh was but I had never met him because he was on tour with Now United and I'll admit I'm a fan and yes, Josh happens to be my favorite but come on, he's hot and no, Jaden has no idea his brother is my celebrity crush. "Nah! He's cool and I've told him a bit about you so he already knows who you are, I'll meet you there. Bye." Jaden says before hanging up.

I debated on it for a bit, I mean, I knew I'd have to meet Josh at a certain point but I wasn't prepared to meet him today. I wasn't one of those crazy fans who would freak out in front of him but I sure as heck was nervous about meeting him. On the other hand, I sure as heck wasn't about to wait an hour or so for Jaden in my car, so before I could regret it I grabbed my stuff, got out, locked my car and walked to the Beauchamp house and rang the doorbell. A few seconds later I heard someone walk up to the door and a muffled "Yeah, I think she's here. Okay, bye." Before the door opened to reveal Josh, damn, he's hotter in person "Hey! You're (Y/N), right? I was just talking to Jaden on the phone, he said to let you in. I'm Josh, nice to meet you." He said smiling and stepping to the side to let me in "Yeah, that's me haha it's nice to meet you too." I said walking into the house, him closing the door behind me "Can I get you anything to drink?" He asks "I'm good, thanks." I say, trying not to blush at every glance he gave me "Okay, well, Jaden said you could wait in his room. I'll be downstairs in mine, help yourself if you want anything." He says before I thank him and he leaves to his room. I release a breath I didn't know I was holding in before grabbing my phone and walking to Jaden's bedroom, figuring I'd just watch a movie until he got home.

JOSH'S POV
Jaden never mentioned anything about (Y/N) being cute, or hot. Wait, what the hell am I saying? It's my little brother's best friend I'm talking about! She is hot though... oh screw it, here we go Josh...

About 15 minutes had gone by when I heard footsteps coming towards the room, I look towards the door to see Josh leaning against it and knocking on it slightly. "What's up?" I ask sitting up on the bed "Well... I was just about to start a few rounds of video games, wanna hang out while Jaden gets home?" He asks and again, I tried not to blush but it was almost impossible "Sure." Was all I could reply, turning off the tv and grabbing my phone before following him to the basement, sitting down opposite of him on the couch. "So, what do you wanna play?" He asks handing me a controller "Whatever you want, I've played all of these with Jaden so I know how to play all of them." I say with a shrug. He chooses a game and we start playing, it only being awkward for a few minutes until our competitiveness started coming out and we started talking a bit more, scooting closer to each other in the process.

"You know? You're actually really cool, I see why you and Jaden got close." Josh says after we finished a round. I couldn't help but smile at his comment "Thanks, you're pretty cool too, Jaden has told me a lot about you." He chuckles as he suddenly scoots closer to me, his hand inches away from mine "Well I hope they were good things, would hate to disappoint a pretty girl like you." He says which makes me blush "Y-you think I'm pretty?" I ask, mentally slapping myself after. He chuckled again and says "Very, would you maybe like to go out with me sometime?" I was completely taken aback, not expecting him to be this straightforward but of course I wasn't gonna say no "I'd love to." I say looking down. It looked like he was about to say something before we hear the front door open and close "HELLO?!" We hear Jaden's voice calling out, causing Josh and I to quickly separate, throwing myself on the nearby beanbag "Down here!" Josh answers and we hear Jaden quickly coming downstairs "Hey, I see you've met. Can I join the next round?" He says going for another controller before Josh stood up "You know what? She's waited for you for almost 2 hours, I think you guys deserve some you time so here, take over." He says handing his controller to Jaden, who gladly took over without asking anything, Josh disappearing into his room.

After a few hours of hanging out with Jaden I figured I should head home, Jaden walking me to the door. As I was about to start my car up I hear my phone ding, I check it to see a text message from an unknown number.
"So, about that date😉"
I instantly knew who it was, smiling uncontrollably.
"How'd you get my number?"
I responded, remembering we never exchanged phone numbers.
"Jaden should really take his phone with him at all times😉"
