Lost Queen

Part 12.

"Why don't you throw that?" Tar said, he is annoyed at the fact that Mew isn't giving him attention that he wants but instead, he keep on staring at the bracelet he got from Gulf.

"Gulf gave this to me, this might be important" Mew said, holding the bracelet tighter. He doesn't know why but for few days, just seeing the bracelet calms him down and for some reason, he noticed that Gulf didn't even entered his line of sight.

Mew is bothered though he shouldn't, it's the first time that Gulf is not around, he is not with his friends too. Usually, Mew catches him staring but surprisingly it freak him out. He loves those little and tiny attention he got from Gulf. If he would only decide, he doesn't want to break their marriage pact but he isn't the only one to decide, he had to let Gulf go.

"I can give you a lot of bracelets, you know? I can also get you a similar one" Tar said and  Mew just stared at his boyfriend before he  shake his head. Mew doesn't want to admit it but something lacks and feels odd when he is with Tar. He doesn't want to touch by him but he has to go with the flow.

"No... I have it" Mew mindlessly said.

"What?" Tar didn't get what Mew meant but the latter just smiled and said that it was nothing.

Tar left and Mew take that chance to approach Singto. No matter how angry he is with Mew, he can't fully hate him since they know it's not his fault.

"Where's your friend?" Mew asked as he approach Singto and Krist beside him. Singto looked up ang stare at Mew.

"He is no longer in this class" Singto said before he went back to write on his notebook. It made Mew puzzled; Where's Gulf?

"W-where?" Mew asked.

"He is already in an advance class and as we speak, he might be on his way here" Krist answered, and as if on queue, Gulf appeared on the door with few guys behind him.

"Kanaaaaaa!" Singto suddenly became lively at the appearance of Gulf. Singto jumped to hug his friend and it made Gulf to step back.

"Let's go?" Gulf said patting Singto's shoulder and motioning Krist to come with them. It made Mew's heart a stabbing pain, Gulf didn't even spared a glance on him; it is as if he isn't there. He is invincible to Gulf now and Mew understands why.

Mew sit on the chair and think everything that happened. He is at fault too, he asked for this; He knows he made Gulf wait for him but he didn't take action, if only Gulf can wait a little bit longer.

"I miss you, Gupie" Mew whispered under his breath.

"What are you doing here?" Gulf got startled when he sees Mew walking towards him. He is in the training room they used to train before Gulf went missing.

Mew smirks and goes to his usual position, "why are you here? You're no longer allowed to be here" Mew said while smirking.

"Why are you using this? Father reserved this place for me" Gulf retorted. He won't back down though his heart rejoice just by looking at Mew, he isn't the one who really begs.

"Well... it is reserved for the prince and his wife. Don't you think this is just for me? I no longer have a wife" Mew grins. Gulf tsk-ed and turn his attention to his training.

Mew's just looking at his ex-wife intently. Gulf looked so fresh and so calm. He got a lot of expressions that Mew haven't seen before; he also looks prettier. Mew smiled to himself, the man in front of him was 'his' but he just wasted it.

"Gulf?"

"Hmm?" Gulf answered but he didn't turned his head to look at Mew.

"How are you?" Mew asked, he is just looking at Gulf's back while waiting for the latter's answer.

Gulf took a deep breath before he speak again. "I am the same as the way I am, as always. How about you Mew?"

"I am getting there." Mew smiled. He stands up from his spot and walks to the door but before he totally left the place. "Gulf... just give me a month, okay?"

Gulf got confused with what Mew just said but when he turned back and look, Mew is no longer in sight. Gulf just shrugged and think that maybe he heard him wrong. He turned his attention to his training when someone disturbed him.


"You b*tch! Stop seducing my boyfriend" Tar came barging in and confronted Gulf.

"I'm sorry? I'm seducing your boyfriend? He's the one who came here. Or... are you afraid that Mew will gain his memory by spending time with me? Are you afraid that - that little game of yours will get busted? Oh, may I remind you that he also knows that you 'almost' killed his wife. And oh, one more, let me remind you that you made him purposely weak so he will lose our duel." Gulf walks towards Tar and tap his shoulder before he bend to whisper to him, "be careful, you don't know when he'll regain his memories... or... did he already?" Gulf smirked while he is walking out of the place, leaving the fuming Tar behind.


"What's with that smirk?" Krist bumped into Gulf while walking to the hallway. He can't help but to notice the unfamiliar expression of Gulf.

"Nothing.. I feel like I just win some award" Gulf answered.

"You really changed! You know, you used to be so stern but now you're so talkative and got a lot of expression." Krist looked at Gulf with amazed face. "Although there's one thing that didn't change"

"What expressions? And what didn't change?" Gulf inquired which earned a loud laugh from Krist.

"That expression on your face. You used to have this resting bitch face that looked so intimidating but now, you smiled too often. But damn! You can still bear with Singto's blabbering" Krist made an ugly expression while Gulf laughed.

"Cause you two are always bickering even though you two can't go without the other" Gulf keep on laughing while Krist made a disgusted look. "Anyway, Mew said to wait for him for a month... I don't know why"

"Wait for him? But you don't have a month left though?" Krist said and Gulf just realized it. He got a mission; It's three of them actually with some other superior mages.

"Oh sh*t. Well, it doesn't matter though." Gulf said. Whatever Mew has to say, they're divorced. Their marriage is over and Gulf is determined to put his attention to his training so he can forget Mew. The sooner the better.
