Chapter One
“Please, go away..” I tried to sound nice, but the fact my ex-boyfriend, George, was bothering me every day since we broke up, extremely annoyed me. “But you’re my girl..”, he said. “No I’m not!! We broke up, remember?!”, I yelled at him. “Shhhh, not that loud..”, he said. While he said that, he focussed his eyes on a point behind me. I turned around. A tall boy with dark curls was staring at us from a distance. When he saw I was staring back, he quickly moved on. I looked back at George. “Let’s go home and continue our conversation there”, he said and he winked at me. “Unbelievable…”, I said. I turned around and walked away. George grabbed my wrist. “George, let me go!! I’m already late”, I said to him. I was going to apply for a job at the local Starbucks shop. George let me go. I quickly walked away.
“You’re hired”, the man who was sitting on the other side of the table said. “Really?! Thanks!!”, I said with a smile on my face. “You can start today. This is the shirt you have to wear when you’re working.” He gave me a green shirt with the Starbucks logo on the back. I tackled the shirt. “Thanks.”
“The toilet is at the end of the corridor, you can change there.” I nodded and went to the toilets.
I had worked for five ours now, and it was almost 4 o’clock, when I would be relieved by my colleague. There were not many customers anymore. But then someone walked in, and I immediately recognised him. Tall body, dark curls. It was the boy who was staring at George and me earlier that day…
