Chapter Three
He was staring at me. I wasn't looking in his direction, but I could feel he was staring at me. I felt like there was only me and this boy. I waited a minute. I could feel he was still standing there. I slowly looked up at him. He was smiling at me. The recognizable dimples on his cheeks, the tall body, the dark curls. I smiled back at him. But he didn't move. I wanted to walk towards him, but I couldn't move. I looked down at my feet. They looked normal. Then I looked back at the place where the curly haired boy was standing a few seconds ago. He was gone.
I woke up. My long hair sticking to my sweaty face. It took a few seconds to recognise it was just a dream. The same dream I had had every night since Harry and I saw eachother for the last time. That was 4 weeks ago, but he never called me again. We went to the café and some clubs a few times and our friendship grew very fast. I looked at my alarm clock; 3.47am. I sighed and jumped to the cold wooden floor. I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Dark circles were showing up under my blue eyes. I drank some water and went back to my room. I sat down on the mattress and grabbed my phone. One new message. From Harry. I widened my eyes and opened the message. 'Hi beautiful, would you like to spend some time with me tomorrow?? I'll be at the lake at 1pm. xxx Harry' I smiled and texted him back. 'Yes I'd like to, I'll be there. xxx Jade' I laid my phone on the bed side table and covered my body with my blanked. I couldn't believe I was going to see Harry again.
"Jade, honey, wake up." I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Hmmm", I growned. My mother laughed. "It's already 12 o'clock", she said. I was awake immediately. "Shit", I mumbled. I quickly ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower. Then I picked my dark red shorts, a white shirt, and my white converses. I brushed my hair and went downstairs. I grabbed an apple and looked at the clock. 12.40pm. I walked towards the staircase. "Mom, I'm going to the lake. I won't be home late!!!" I shouted upstairs. "Okay honey, be careful!!" she shouted back. I opened the front door and went outside. The sun was shining. While eating my apple, I walked to the lake. There were many people there, since it was very hot outside. I looked around. Harry wasn't there. Suddenly I heard his raspy voice. "Boo" I quickly turned around to face him. "Harry!!" I yelled, and I hugged him. He smirked. "That's my name", he said jokinkly. He smiled at me. "I missed you", I said to him. "I missed you too..." he said. "Let's get an ice cream", he suggested. I nodded. We walked towards the small ice cream shop and bought two ice creams.
"Harry?" I asked. We were sitting under a tree so that it wasn't too hot anymore. "Hmmm?" he hummed. I looked at him. He was laying on his back with his eyes closed. "Why didn't you call?" I asked. Harry opened his eyes and sat up. "Well, I was, you know... Busy..." he answered. I was still looking at him. I could tell he wasn't being honest, but I ignored it. I looked back at the lake. There were many people swimming. Suddenly Harry got up and ran into the water. I looked at him and smiled. He had taken off his grey shirt, so I could see his perfect torso. "Aren't you going to swim?!" he shouted. I waited a few seconds, but then I also took my shoes of and ran into the cold water.
