A date?

*You walk in the lobby and you see Arizona waiting*

Y/n: Are you ready to go? Uhm you didn't said I needed to wear some fancy clothes.
Arizona: Fancy clothes? This is just a regular outfit.
Y/n: Then you have a great taste. But it was a compliment.
Arizona: You are very sweet. You know that right?
Y/n: I try to be.

*You enter the bar and go sit with some of the other attending's*

Meredith: So how was your first day y/n?
Cristina: I've heard about a first surgery! So you get a drink from me.
Y/n: It was great actually. Got to see the whole hospital, got to know Arizona a bit and helped with her surgery, so you you've heard it right Cristina and I would love a white wine please. 
April: What do you think of Arizona?
Y/n: She is really good. During the surgery I've learned a lot already. She is also very kind so it helped with my nerves.
Derek: Arizona, you finally found someone who wants to work with you.
Arizona: Derek... That's not true.

*You al start laughing and have a good night and to celebrate your first day you pay the next round*

Alex: I like you a lot already. So when will we be here again?
Y/n: I'm always in for some fun. So next weekend party at my place?
Alex: Yes, we will come.
Y/n: Everyone is invited. I will get food and drinks and you just have to show up and bring the energy.
Arizona: So you are a party animal?
Y/n: Now and then.

*You all go home. It's the next morning and you go to the peds wing to meet your interns and go for rounds*

Today it seems to be a quiet day. You only have a surgery in the afternoon and Jo will be helping out. It is a laparotomy on a 12 year old boy. Arizona walks over and ask to have lunch together. When you walk down the halls with her, she seems to be nervous.

Y/n: Is something wrong? You seem nervous.
Arizona: No. Uhm maybe. But it's nothing.
Y/n: Yeah I don't believe that. Tell me.
Arizona: You make me nervous, but in a good way. I really enjoyed last night. I thought maybe we can have dinner tonight if you want.
Y/n: As an date?

*You start laughing*

Arizona: Yes. No. Maybe.
Y/n: Great answer I think.
Arizona: Forget it.
*She wants to walk away, but you grab her arm*

Y/n: Wait. So Arizona, do you want to go on a date with me tonight?
Arizona: What did you just say?
Y/n: You were looking for words and it took to long. So I figurate out that you wanted to ask me out for a date. What is your answer? Do you want to go on a date with me tonight?
Arizona: Yes I would love that. Wait but do you like me, because I like you a lot.
Y/n: Arizona I would not ask you on a date if I didn't like you too.

*You walk into the cafeteria and you both can not stop smiling. You go and sit down next to April and Alex*

April: Why are we smiling? Good day?
Arizona: You can say it is an amazing day.
Alex: Did you win the lottery?
Arizona: Kind of. Ask me tomorrow again.
Y/n: I have just a good day. First surgery here as the lead surgeon later, so I'm looking forward to it.
April: Sounds great. Arizona, do want to watch a movie tonight? Jackson has a nightshift.
Arizona: Sorry I already have other plans.
Alex: A date?
Arizona: Yes.
April: That's why your smile is so big. Tell us, who is the lucky one?
Arizona: Not gonna tell that. I will tell you everything tomorrow if the date was a succes.
Alex: And I want to know when it was a disaster.
Y/n: Really Alex?
Alex: Yes, you will know soon enough that you need some sort of entertainment from time to time here. 
Y/n: So if her date is a disaster, you will enjoy it?
Alex: Yes, but I hope you will have a good time Arizona. You deserve to meet someone who makes you happy.
Arizona: Awww Karev you are so sweet.

*Your surgery went well and you text Arizona*

Y/n: Shall I pick you up at your place around 6.30 p.m.?
Arizona: Yes that's fine. What do you want me to wear?
Y/n: Just something casual.

*You pick up Arizona and ride to a nice spot where you can see the city. You brought a picknick with you and a blanket*

Arizona: So what are we going to do?
Y/n: I was thinking of a nice picknick at a beautiful place and than we can go for a walk to get some ice cream if you want.
Arizona: This sounds really good.

*You park the car and get all the stuff out and walk to this nice spot with Arizona. You sit down on the blanket and give her some wine*

Y/n: How was your day?
Arizona: Nothing special to be honest. After lunch I thought about tonight a lot.
Y/n: Why? You didn't want to cancel it right?
Arizona: No, not at all. But like I said before, I get a bit nervous when I'm around you and I never had that before.
Y/n: Don't be nervous Arizona. It is just me and you talking and getting to know eachother more. At least that's what I want.
Arizona: I want that to y/n. Thank you for tonight I love this so much. I know this is not the end, but do you want to go on a second date with me?
Y/n: I'm glad you like it. I would love to go on a second date Arizona, but let's get some ice cream.

*You get up and help Arizona get up. You put everything back in the car and go for a walk. Arizona grabs your hand while walking and you feel some butterflies*

Arizona: I really like you y/n. I really do.
Y/n: I really like you to Arizona.
*You give her a kiss on her cheek*

Arizona: Okay that's so sweet. Come on let's go, get that ice cream.
