Betty sighed, staring at the dreadful paper in front of her. It was a list, a bucket list of things her friends said would be fun. It didn't look quite as fun to the perfect girl-next-door as it did to her friends.
There were 50 items on the list. 50 things to do before college, before Betty left the wicked little town of Riverdale and went to Yale. It was the scariest thing Betty's ever thought about.
There were some easy items, like baking a cake, but then there were hard items like skinny dipping. Betty had no idea if the latter was even a smart idea.
The hardest item of all was placed at the very bottom, and it was the one Betty would for sure be doing last. It was the one she had to pinkie swear to complete, the holy grail of her list. Betty had no idea where even to start with that one. Sighing, she looked up from the list and into the mirror. She had a perfect view of her next door neighbor, Archie's room through her window. Expecting to see the redhead playing his guitar or something, instead she saw Archie and Veronica having sex. Betty grimaced and looked away, getting up to close the blinds. Then she turned back to the dreaded list.
These were the items:
1. Go to a bar and get drunk
2. Go skydiving
3. Bake a cake
4. Host a party
5. Go skinny dipping
6. Kiss a girl
7. Run a 5K
8. Ride a motorcycle (or drive)
9. Pretend to be a celebrity at a party you crashed
10. Prank call someone
11. Go on a blind date
12. Find a stranger and pretend to know them
13. Redecorate your room
14. Dye your hair
15. Do an open mic night
16. Fall in front of people to see their reaction
17. Make out in the back of a truck at a movie
18. Get a makeover
19. Update your wardrobe
20. Do karaoke in public
21. Make a time capsule
22. Pull an all nighter
23. Egg someone's house
24. Go stargazing
25. Defy your mother for once
26. Host a bonfire party
27. Learn how to play an instrument
28. Dramatically quit your job
29. Perform at La Bonne Nuit
30. Do a drinking game
31. Get a tattoo
32. Go cliff jumping
33. Sing for people in the street
34. Swim at night
35. Buy a wedding dress from a thrift shop and tell people your getting married
36. Do a photo shoot

43. Crash a wedding or party
44. Have a dance party in the middle of the street
45. Go on a road trip with the gang
46. Eat a meal drunk with the gang

Betty had no idea how she was going to do all of these by the end of the summer, along with preparing for college. But if she didn't complete the list, then her friends and would be disappointed. And she couldn't disappoint them. After all, the just wanted to help her have fun.
Making up her mind, Betty pulled out her teal phone and made a call.
"Cheryl?" She said, " I'll do it."
