Carmen and Chona have been together for 15 years. They were living together for 5 years before they got married in Vegas on their 7th anniversary. During this time, they also decided to go through IVF and had been blessed with twin girls – Jasmine Alleigh (al-lee) and Mulan Raileigh (rai-lee). They were happy until they weren't as things got really messy between them to the point that they have to end it all during the twins' 7th birthday party. After they broke up, Carmen decided to fly back to Vegas and came back a month later with divorce papers signed on hand.

When she came home, Carmen went straight to the mall to buy the twins some presents as she didn't really have anything with her but herself as she intended to go back to Vegas as soon as possible. She entered a toy store and as she strolled down the bear aisle, she saw a cute pink teddy bear. As she grabbed the bear, another lady held on to it at the same time.

"I-I'm sorry. You held it first. Baka importante 'yung pagbibigyan mo, I'll look for something else," the lady told her letting go of the toy.

Carmen smiled, "thanks. Although, you seem like you also want it. It's the last one as well. You can have it. I have twins to give my presents to. Mahirap na. There's only one – the bear might complain."

The lady chuckled, "honestly, I was hoping na dalawa rin sana 'to. I just grabbed it to check if meron pa. I'm also giving presents to twins. Anak ng partner ko."

"Oh nice! What a coincidence," Carmen replied, "they're very lucky ha. You accepted them in your life. By the way, Lea nga pala."

"Oh, nice to meet you, Lea. I'm—"

"Jo, nandito ka lang pala, hon. Kanina pa kita hinahanap. Naghihintay na 'yung mga bagets sa bahay. Nakapili ka na ba ng bibilhin mo for them?"

"Well, I was gonna get that pink teddy bear na hawak ni Lea, right there oh. But there's only one eh. You know what's funny, hon? We're both looking for twin items. Kakatuwa no?" Jo, as Chona called her earlier, replied.

Carmen, on the other hand, froze on the spot at the sight of the other person who had just arrived.

"Carmen..." Chona uttered, "what are you doing here? You should have called para nasundo ka sana namin ng twins sa airport."

"Carmen? But I thought your name was Lea? And wait... What? You mean to say she's the other Mrs. Salonga, hon?"

"Yea, Maria Lea Carmen's my name. So, I go by Lea to everyone else except for the ones dearest to me," Carmen replied explaining herself, "I came home to get you to sign something for me. That's all. No need naman to make sundo pa sa airport, I'm all grown-up, Reg. I can look after myself."

"Yes, she's the other Mrs. Salonga," Chona responded as she looked at Carmen.

In the span of a month that they have not seen each other, Carmen's already changed a lot. She had her hair cut short and was far from the Carmen she was when she left.

This Carmen looked fierce and very independent, a woman who's capable of anything – and everything, Chona thought to herself.

"Oh... well, hi, Lea or Carmen. I'm Jo. Joanna. Girlfriend ni Reg. I hope it's okay with you that I visit your kids ha? I do swear though, Regine and I started seeing each other after a week you two broke up. I mean, she was wasted when I first met her, broken-hearted," Jo politely re-introduced herself.

"Hon, tama na 'yan. Ang daldal mo na," Chona said with a forced laugh, "maghanap ka na kaya ng ibibigay mo sa twins? Surely naiinip na 'yung dalawang kulit."
