Everyday starts the same, but we'll never know which one will change our lives forever

I woke up the next day still feeling bubbly over the fact that my dreams may come true.

I felt more energetic today, the weather was nice, I could hear the birds chirping from my room.

I couldn't tell Charlie the news yesterday, because he was working late again, so I went to find him watching tv in the living room.

"Good morning!"

"Hey, good morning! How did yesterday go?" He looked at me excitedly.

I told him everything and how sweet everyone was.

"We have to go out tonight to celebrate it, sis." He said with a wide grin.

"Alright, I'll ask Emily if she can join us. I'll go in the office and try to start working on my next book, but I'll be home around 4."

I went to have a shower and washed my hair. When I stepped out I injected my morning insulin, and then dryed my curly brown hair. I put on some make up and chose a dark red dress to wear that shows the shape of my body, then put on some black heels. I looked formal and a bit elegant.

I don't usually put too much effort into what I'm wearing but I want to look presentable on my first day. I'm sure a few weeks later I'll go back to my comfort zone and wear jeans again.

"Have a great day Lu!" He sang out to me.

"Have some rest before working!" His shift started later today, so he could still relax a bit.

With that I left our apartment and locked the front door behind myself.

I felt excited and less nervous during the car ride. As usual I listened to some banger to pass the time.

Now I could find Mrs. Johnson's office, who showed me the desk where I could work. It was nice, of course I didn't get a whole office to myself with a view to the city, but I liked it and it was great to see other authors working around me.

It had a great atmosphere, although I didn't have inspiration. I dismissed any idea that crossed my mind, because I felt they're not good enough.

I felt a bit frustrated with myself, so I decided to go have some lunch after a few hours of thinking and writing.

I chose to eat some salad and I quickly found an attracting place. After I chose and paid for my food, I searched for a table to sit, and I recognized Sarah.

"Hey, is it okay if I join you?"

"Hi Lucy, of course, come on!" I sat down in front of her. "So are you on trial time?"

"Yeah, I'm working on a second book to Mrs. Johnson... more or less. I don't seem to have an idea that feels good enough."

"Try to not stress about it and it will write itself. It's always difficult at the beginning, and you can't create a miracle in a few hours" She said understandingly while we ate.

Sarah was so kind and it was easy for me to talk to her. I'm more like an introvert person, so I often have struggles to open up, or have a decent conversation. But I found a friend in her.

"You always lived in New York?" I looked up from my food.

"No, I grew up in Toronto. I love my hometown, I try to go back and visit my parents as much as I can, but since I was young New York was my dream city."

I loved to see how everyone's face brighten up when they talk about something they love.

"And you? Have you always lived here?"
