You smoked her bones like you smoked that cigarette
used her mercury hips until she was all but flesh and skin
Nature rebuilds what has fallen, a natural way of cleaning things
but that's probably only true for the falling leaves and centipedes
because I'm as broken as the screaming toppled tree
and I haven't been scrubbed clean or eaten
haven't been taken away from the yellow tape(the crime scene)
I've never been fixed
I've had to live with this dark protruding stake
that you've injected into my heart
like a speed bump
on my lace-y skin
I've yanked and prayed, trying not to cry
but the red line itches from all your lies
I can't seem to escape
your memory tattooed in my mind
