like a spider connecting protein chains
flexible traits you spin through comparison rain
you catch my heart among your silky words
craving mundane things
and ending up in a full fledged buffet
ran back to soft roses
but you tangled me in your thorns
oh how I hated being caught
but loved feeling found
soon our spiderweb became dust
an old cobweb
of abandoned love
we didn't balance out
we weren't enough
and that became okay
underneath the blue moon holiday
