5.Beacon

(Y/n) pov
"You alright?" Ahsoka asked me.
"Yeah, yeah just.... I don't like flying. Not when I'm not in control or able to" I told her watching the clouds pass by.
"Well then how did you put up with Skyguy flying?"
"Black Ale, that's how. But agreeing to this crap means I can't really have it on me" I pointed at the empty pocket where my flask used to be.
The conversation was interrupted as a video of the new's broadcast played talking about some criminal and some group called «the white fang» but soon faded away and was replaced by a video of the same woman who was with Ozpin. She went on to introduce herself and then explain what the purpose of huntresses were "Peace huh? That why they need more warriors. Is that what huntsman are the jedi of this world" I said speaking my mind when I felt a hard smack towards the back of my head.
"Shut up, do you want to blow our cover" Faye scolded me.

As the clouds began to clear we saw the school down below us "It's rather big isn't it" Bariss mentioned checking the view just then a blonde boy came running past holding its hand over his mouth,i also heard a girl in red with a blonde girl freaking out about vomit or something.
I stared down at the school lost in thought 'Beacon a school or just another place to turn kids into weapons?'

We got off the airship that took us here, I looked around at the entrance to the school as a blonde boy came barrelling past me towards the nearest bin and promptly threw up inside said bin. "God, that's gross" Ahsoka said to me watching the guy.
"Eh, I've seen worse" I told her as we continued forward.
Not even two minutes off the ship and I heard an explosion, I looked back and saw a red cloud of smoke and then two girls arguing. Well more like a girl in white was berating the girl in red "Doesn't matter where you go, explosions just seem to occur all around you. I'm starting to think you might be a risk to be near" Vern told me laughing to herself.
"Well atleast it's not boring, right?"

After getting off the airship I left the group to wander about the school when I felt someone tug my arm "Oh hey Numa, coming with?" she nodded furiously. "OK good could use a lookout"
Me and Numa made it to a giant tower which I assume could if not the principals office atleast something important "OK Numa keep an eye out and tell me if someone's coming"

Numa rounded the corner to keep watch while I linked up with Sparks, I turned on my range finder to test if the camera link worked "Could use some tuning, but for now it's fine"
Sparks flew out off my hand and up the tower, once at the top I turned on the camera.
The room was mostly vacant with only a desk sitting across from an elevator, the only other noticeable thing was the clock gears in the room "There's nothing in there. Hey Sparks try and-"
" Look where you're going faunus trash!! "
I heard someone say around the corner "Sparks back now"
Sparks flew back onto my back as I rounded the corner.
Standing there was two guys and two girls all four of clear wealthy origins and in front of them was Numa surrounded by suitcases sprawled out on the ground.
"Well what do you have to say for yourself!!"
"Don't pretend you can't hear us, especially not with these stupid ears" one the girls said now reaching for one of Numa's rabbit ears before I caught there attention.
"Is there a problem here?"
"Yes this animal got in our way and made us drop our luggage" one of the boys said, he was a dark haired boy with brown eyes.
"You dropped it? Or your servant?"
"Why you!!"
He looked pissed of now, but honestly that was nothing compared to how I felt. It was really taking everything for not to blast him.
"Just take your pet away and well never see eachother again" the ring leader of the group said.
He had blonde hair with white highlights, green eyes. He was wearing a very high class set of clothes, a red button up shirt with blue jeans along with some nice shoes.
"We need to teach them a lesson not to mess with those better than them" one the girls said.
"Sigh, just let them go... I'm sure they've learned, there not worth the energy"
"I could say the same about you, come on Numa let's go. Let the elites eat themselves"

We made our into the main hall where everyone one was gathered, we found our group again and joined back in "There sure is a lot of people here?"
"Where have you two been?" Faye asked me
"Reconnaissance" I told her bluntly
Everyone in the crowd quieted down as Ozpin took the stage. "I'll... Keep this brief. You have traveled here today is search of knowledge. And when you have finished plan to dedicate your lives to protecting people. But I look amongst you and all I is see wasted potential, in need of purpose- direction. You think knowledge will free you of this, but your time here will prove that knowledge will only take you so far. Its up to you to take the first step"he said sounding almost disconnected, bored and distant and then left the stage.
His assistant took the microphone right after and explained how we would all be sleeping here.

No pov
The main hall was full of people getting ready for bed "Never thought I'd sleep in the same room as so many people" Ahsoka said watching the crowd.
"Is what the clones deal with every day?" Faye wondered"Wait a minute where's my sister? "
The group just now realised you weren't with them, they panicked wondering where you ran off to.
"Is she trying to make this harder?"

"Mmm" you sat down back against the wall looking up at the night sky "Nice view, huh" I was mostly speaking to myself but Sparks feeling lonely chimed in.
"Bweepp"
"They'll be fine, I'm sure they can handle sleeping in a room with a few people"
"Bewpep?"
"Why don't I sleep with them.... Reasons Sparks, just don't want to.... I want a nice view and here I have one" I slipped my helmet back on my head and layed back against the wall"Wake me when it's morning or someone comes"
With the reassurance of Sparks keeping watch I let the enticing embrace of sleep take over.

Glynda's pov
I saw (y/n) sitting on the roof from Ozpin's office "What is she doing?"
"Something the matter Glynda?" Ozpin asked me
"One of those girls she's sitting on the roof.... maybe even sleeping even though everyone should be in the main hall. I'm going to get her"
"Leave her. She's not doing anything yet.... I'm sure she has her reasons. But that is me for tonight, goodnight Glynda"
"Same to you Ozpin" I heard Ozpin leave, but I decided to remain a while longer to see if she made any sort of move "What a strange girl"
