Vern's pov I opened the door to the rooftops and stepped outside looking for (Y/n) I looked around the corner and saw her slumped over leaning against the wall, just as I approached her Sparks flew in front of my face ready to shock "Woah, hey it's me!"
"Bwep? Bweeee" Sparks beeped lowly
"It's alright. Jeez she's really that paranoid though" I took a second to consider how to wake her up and ultimately decided to pound the top of her helmet.
"Gah, fuck" she immediately grabbed onto the top of her helmet like it would relieve the pain "Sparks attack ya lazy droid!"
"You're seriously paranoid, up we get!" I grabbed her by the wrist to lift her up, but I she quickly spun around sweeping my leg, knocking me to the ground before she jumped on top of me her karambit already drawn and ready to be shoved somewhere unpleasant "Jumpy ain't ya!" I laughed at her despite the clear danger posed above me.
"Vern?" she lifted her helmet off with her free hand and rubbed her eyes "God dammit you..." she got off me and folded her arms, I stood back up "You know not to do that, I almost stabbed you!" she said rubbing her eyes again, when she pulled away I saw the bags under her eyes probably from lack of proper sleep.
"You know you would probably sleep better inside... And without armor" she didn't respond, just stretched until she heard a little pop "I get it you don't trust these people yet and-"
"Would you sleep beside people you don't trust, who you don't know their names?"
"Sigh, no" she did have a point "Still have that knife though, I thought you gave up your weapons"
"I didn't want to give any of them up"
"Yeah you made that very clear, buuuuuttt..."
"Giving up my blasters and other knives is one thing but.... This knife is another thing entirely" she said giving it a little squeeze

I heard the sound of heels coming up the stairs to the rooftop 'Shit that's either a rich brat or a teacher' I knew we would have to explain why we were up here and probably get in trouble add the fact (y/n) had her knife, normally I wouldn't care but for the sake of keeping our cover... I grabbed (y/n) by the shoulders to keep her still then I grabbed her chin and lifted her up and kissed her. I laughed a bit to myself as she was shocked at first before realising and trying to return the kiss getting up on her tip toes. (Forgot to mention in her bio Vern is 6 ft)
I heard the door open and an abrupt stop to our left. "Oh, um"
(Y/n) 's pov I heard somebody's voice and broke the kiss with Vern and looked at who saw us, I quickly sheathed my knife hopefully without her noticing"Oh hey! It's.... Glynda right?" Vern asked, I saw a small grin in the corner of her mouth before I turned back to Glynda.
She was holding her hands over her crotch and her cheeks were red,she took another look at us before taking a deep breath and recomposing herself "It's Miss Goodwitch to you two" she said adjusting her glasses. "Now I came here to tell you both to get your equipment before heading with your fellow students to the initiation trial.You'll find your weapons in locker room, you'll need these to open your assigned lockers" she said and gave us two little white rectangles with a yellow diamond shape, I pressed the shape and the thing opened up with revealing a little screen inside "These are your scrolls, best take care of them you'll need them for more than your lockers. Now if you will excuse I have some business to attend to" she said and went back down the stairs.
