Finn’s P.O.V

We got our luggage and headed towards the exit. “Are you going straight to campus?” Allen asked. Hoping the answer is what I expect it to be, I continued to listen. “Yeah, there isn’t any other place I can go really.” “Us too!” I exclaimed. Jesus Christ! What is happening to me? Gemma was beautiful but in no way did I want to seem desperate. I mean, we only just met. She was so laid back and… so… I don’t even know – she leaves me speechless. I felt so brainless talking to her; making random outbursts and all. Gosh!

“I think there’s taxis’ over here” Allen informed me. “Gemma! Pass me your phone.” I called out. “Why?” she asked curiously. “Don’t worry I won’t do anything” I laughed. She chuckled and handed her mobile over. I opened up the keypad. “Here’s my number” I said as I continued typing my digits in. “Call or text me so we can meet up again just in case I don’t see you once we’ve departed.” “Great! Well…” she checked my number “I’ll give you a call when I get my new number. I’m having a transfer done and it could take up to 48 hours.” She said as she as she popped her mobile back into her handbag. “Why a transfer?” I questioned casually. “Long story, I’ll tell you later.” “Alright then. Great!”

“Hey Finn! I think one’s coming our way” Allen called as he waved his hand to halt a taxi. I turned back to offer Gemma to come with us as we were going to the same place but she was out of sight. I tiptoed in search of her brunette waves but she was already getting in to another taxi of her own. “Quick let’s go!” I pushed Allen in to the taxi. “Woah! What’s the rush?”

I tried to trail Gemma’s taxi until we got stuck in traffic and lost it amongst the rest of the cars. Hope she calls soon.

Gemma’s P.O.V

I felt a little bit bad about leaving without saying goodbye or even telling them I was leaving. They were such wonderful guys throughout the entire journey and were also really nice to me. To be honest, quite hot as well; especially Finn. But that was the problem – they seemed like the type to prefer the popular girls (or in other words – sluts). Blonde hair, blue eyes, short skirts with long legs; you get the gist. I honestly wouldn’t mind becoming friends with them, in fact I would be overwhelmed that I wasn’t alone in the unknown city but I didn’t want to be an unwanted drag. I will be certain to call Finn soon since he asked me to but I didn’t want it to seem like I was into him and look like an idiot. I obviously wasn’t his type. I tried to act as uninterested as possible so it wasn’t another one sided relationship, they always turn out bad for me, and so I didn’t feel more attracted to him by getting too comfortable in the space of three hours.

I got into the first cab I encountered to be unoccupied and made my way to campus. Allen and Finn probably forgot my name already.
