"I really hate being so far from you two." Gold fretted over their communicators.

It was the day of their "museum heist" mission. Aurora and Akiri were walking down the familiar Ninjago City streets, intent on taking their time as to not arouse suspicion from the ninja. Meanwhile, the rest of their team stayed behind in a village closest to the city, where they were renting another house for a few days.

"We'll be okay." Akiri reassured them. "Though, I've got to admit that being here again is certainly... familiar, to say the least."

"It has been so many years since we've been here." Aurora joined Akiri in her remembrance, stepping around a group of construction workers. "And many more since I've worn something like this."

She had on a pair of slacks and a plain grey blazer, her ginger hair falling along her shoulders in cascading waves. Akiri matched her appearance with her own slacks and a blue blazer, her brunette hair pulled back into a bun.

Hanging on Akiri's shoulder was a large briefcase containing the items they'd soon need for their mission. Aurora carried a matching case, except hers was filled with average items such as pens, paper, and fake files.

It almost made Aurora feel as if she was living in the city again-- except, well, not homeless. Maybe even living a normal life, with a job, responsibilities, and a dog or a cat if she was lucky.

"Well, tell us." Onyx's voice sounded from their devices. "Has the city changed over the years? What's it look like?"

Aurora was again reminded that the remainder of their team had never stepped foot in Ninjago City before. She surveyed their surroundings as they continued their walk, a little intimidated by the bustling streets and towering structures.

"Well, there's certainly lots to look at." She began, watching as a group of pigeons soared across the sky in search of crumbs to eat. "And lots to do, too."

"Tons of people everywhere," Akiri added. "Lots of noise and smells."

"I would love to go there one day." Yuri thought aloud. "It sounds like a cool place to visit."

"It is. But less so living here." Aurora grumbled. "Trust me on that one. You would not believe how much rent is."

That provoked a competitive Eris and an annoyed Onyx to compete to guess the correct average rent in Ninjago City. In the end, Onyx won, as determined by Gold. Eris was whiny the rest of their walk, much to their amusement.

By the time the squabble had come to its end, the two had arrived at the museum. After turning off their communicators, they entered through the doors, already prepared with their plan.

"Oh, hello!" A nice young lady at the front desk greeted them. "The museum will be closing in forty minutes, so your visit will have to be cut short."

"Oh, we aren't visitors." Aurora spoke up with a shake of her head. "Dr. Rivers called us in to help with some exhibit preparations."

"Ah, I see!" The lady held out a hand. "May I see your IDs, please? I don't think I've seen you two around before."

"No problem." Akiri gave her a friendly smile as they handed over their fake IDs, created by Gold themself.

"We don't usually work at this museum," Aurora further elaborated. "We work in Nom, a bit of a smaller city. The museum there isn't as brilliant as this one, though." She complimented.

"Well, it's so good to have you both here!" Satisfied with their IDs, the lady passed them back to them. "Dr. Grey and Dr. Victoria. I'll have to remember those names if I'll be seeing you more often!"
