Mandy's POV
It was quite in the car. Not even the radio was on. I swore you could hear each other's heart beats.
"Are you mad at me?" Jack asked. "No. Why would I be mad?" "Because of this night." "No. I'm not mad." I actually wasn't mad. I was upset. Jack left his phone at my apartment. His phone kept going off. I looked at it and it was Leigh texting and calling him. What if he wants to be with her and not me?
I pulled into the apartment's driveway. Jack was asleep, so Jack carried him up to the apartment. Once we got up there, I unlocked the door. Jack carried Tanner to his room.
I walked into the kitchen and got me a glass of water. I slowly drank the glass of water. Jack came back, five minutes later. "Is this why you are mad?" He held his phone up to me. I saw the miss calls and text from Leigh. "Kind of." I said sad. "Why?" "Because I'm scared you're going to leave." Jack cuffed his hand on my cheek. "I'm never going to leave you. I love you way too much." He then leaned down to kiss me. I kissed him back.
Jack went to bed fifteen minutes before I did. I walked back to the room. It was dark in the room. I sat on the bed. A tear rolled down my eye. Why? Even though Jack said he loved me and would never leave me, I still have a bad feeling inside that he is. He is going to go back to Leigh. He's going to leave his little boy. Why do I think so negative. I just need to go to sleep. Today had been a long day... I laid down. I closed my eyes and drifted away.
