Everything I Thought I knew

Chapter Three-

It has been two days since the announcement and the pack is buzzing about it some nervous, some excited, personally I’m not sure how I feel about the news. Don’t get me wrong I want to find my mate, but I also want to meet him when it is only the two of us meeting not every other wolf of age at once. Later that night my dad announced that the event will be held in Hutton England on July 3rd. Next week is exams and then summer starts so the trip is roughly 13 days away but we leave in 12 days so its two weeks away.

It’s crazy how I’ll get to travel from my sleepy Ontario town to England. I really hope we can travel around and at least spend a few days in London. Where I live there are no native wolves besides werewolves, the forests don’t have thick enough tree coverage. That means we have to sneak around and only howl when we are in the thick isolated parts of the forests around our territory.

Both Cara and Violet were saying “ Elana… Elana… Elana… School is over we need to go study for our English exam on Monday. We have the snacks and we’ve preordered the pizza for later.” “Yeah sorry, I’m just all worried about England” I say back. “Well hun, this is the way you are going to meet him and you aren’t going alone I am coming too. And the trip is only a week.” Cara says. “ Wait, since when have you been the voice of reason.” Violet says laughing walking out of the room away from Caras glare. “I won’t forget your comment Vi… now common we have some studying and massive amounts of junk food waiting for us tonight, plus we can always talk about this later. And I’ll let you borrow some of my clothes for England….” Cara says winking at me for the last part.

At 7:00pm the doorbell rang right as we were finishing up recapping our notes on how Lord of the flies and Macbeth are similar for the dumb essay part of the exam in Monday. I jump up grabbing the pack debit card and walked to the door to get our pizza. I open Violets front door to see the tall nerdy looking pizza delivery boy. He had on a dorky red hat with the pizza places name on it as well as a fall jacket and jeans; he had a slight trace of acne on his jawbone. He’s a human boy, just like all of the towns people who live around Violet, it would have made more sense if she were to live closer to the pack than the town but it was her mothers choice since her mate was a human. “ That’ll be $32.50… are you girls throwing a party?” he asks super chipper and smiling hugely. “No just a study session… ugh disappointing I know.” I say laughing. I run the card through the debit machine to pay and then grab the four large pizza boxes. “Well have a good night then…” I look down at his nametag “Alex.” I say smiling as I close the door.

“Girls… Pizza time!” I yell to them and walk to the kitchen to grab plates and napkins. The two come running and when I say running I mean sprinting down the hall trying to pass one another. “Come on you dorks there’s enough pizza for the three of us we ordered more than usual.”

Even though we are females both Cara and I eat almost as much as the males in our pack do and we don’t eat very lady like either. Violet on the other hand, has learned to grab what she knows she can eat or she will go hungry eating with us. About half an hour later all the pizza and junk food is gone and we are all just sitting around laughing and talking. “ I have a serious question for you all… ready? Okay so if you made a clone of yourself, and it is basically yourself, and you lick its elbow are you technically licking your own elbow?” Cara asks with a straight face.

“No, you’re just weird…” Violet counters back. This whole conversation is just super funny but I guess Cara has a point but it’s just too bizarre of a question. “Moving on…We are done studying, we’ve eaten and laughed, now Cara and I need to go pack for London. Sorry Vi you can’t come with.” I say grabbing my books and putting them in my backpack.

Hey Jay, can you come and pick Cara and I up in 20 minutes?

Yes… you need your own vehicle already Elana.

“Way to take charge El… Alpha blood I tell you…” Cara mumbles rolling her eyes. I grabbed the nearest pillow off of the sofa and threw it at her face laughing. “Well we have 20 minutes until Jay comes here to get us so its time to start saying goodbye.”
