phil swooped down, somewhat crashing into the ground since his wings still weren't in the best condition.

quackity pearled down onto the ground, as he was originally being held in phil's arms. wisp lended some over, before he journeyed to get phil.

he refused to let phil carry him, yet for ivy's sake he gave in. he didn't enjoy one bit of it at first, yet he had to be honest. it was kind've cool soaring over the land.

corpse's body still lied lifeless on the concrete, slumped over.

"listen i- i didn't want to hurt her. corpse payed me to come with him. i tried to aim low i didn't want to-"

"shut up" schlatt mumbled, not taking his eyes off of ivy.

every breathe the girl took, she hissed under her breathe. the movement of her stomach moving up and down, shooting pain through her body.

"ivy im.. im so sorry" schlatt mumbled, now holding her close. she lied back onto him, as he kneeled onto the ground.

"dad.. shut up-"

"dad?!" schlatt froze, his eyes widening.

"wha- schlatt.. shut up"

"you just called me dad!"

"i just got fucking shot, give me a break" ivy softly laughed, a weak smile appearing on her face.

"it looks like corpse took his name a little too seriously" quackity laughed, staring off towards the body.

ivy tilted her head, which lied in schlatt's lap. "shit.. is he- is he dead?" she mumbled.

wisp walked over to corpse, kicking his body, he barely budged. he knelt down, placing two fingers on his neck.

"yup, no pulse."

ivy only stared off at wisp with an odd look, as he turned to be met with her eyes.

"alright c'mon, she's gonna fuckin' bleed out, we're wasting time." phil stated, kneeling next to her.

ivy lied squeezing her eyes closed, and hands covering her face. she bit her tongue as pain shot through her body, as phil continued working on her wound.

the group stood around silently, patiently hoping ivy would be okay.

wisp sat on the stairs nearby, head resting in his palms. he never wanted to hurt ivy, ever since he met her. he's gone through countless conversations about schlatt and ivy, yet the argument against ivy was never good enough to result in her death.

"where's techno?" schlatt spoke up, staring down at ivy whom was resting her head in his lap.

"he's.. busy" phil stated, after a long silence. he shot a glare towards quackity.

quackity replied with one back.

"hi!"

"slime- no-" quackity quickly moved, wanting to block charlie from the sight.

"wha- what.. happened?!" charlie saw everything, ivy lying on the concrete surrounded by everyone. shirt covered in blood. then corpse who lied in a pool of his own blood, dead, not too far away.

"charlie im- im alright" ivy said softly, tilting her head now to see the boy who stood in shock.

"you're oozing red goo" charlie said softly.

"yeah- blood, i know."

"that's blood!?"

"charlie, come here" ivy said softly, looking towards the boy. he hesitated at first, eventually doing so. he sat next to her, sitting criss-cross.

she reached out, taking his hand. "i'm gonna be.. alright."

ivy felt her body go numb, yet shoot with pain. she once again covered her face with her free hand, gently squeezing charlies hand.

suddenly that squeeze dissapeared, and her grip loosened.

"ivy-"

"no, no, no, no" schlatt raised his voice, staring down at ivy as he watched her eyes roll back.

"she's alright!" phil reassured, looking up towards schlatt as he dealt with her wound.

schlatt placed his fingers on her neck, her pulse giving him a form of comfort.

charlie continued to hold onto ivy's hand, gently holding it between both of his hands.

the sun begun to set, casting a purple-orange hue across the sky. the last of the sun peaked over the sandy hill's surrounding las nevadas.

schlatt gently lifted ivy up, carrying her to where he has been staying the past month.

phil and wisp followed him, surveying the room. it was quite dark, yet other light sources lit up the room. schlatt gently placed ivy on the bed, not wanting to hurt her anymore.

"when did you meet ivy, wisp." phil asked, taking a seat at the small dining table. "i met her in the woods, a few months ago. she was treading around morant land, and i stumbled across her while foraging,"

"i recognized her from story's corpse had told, since i guess he had some vendetta against schlatt." wisp spoke, glancing towards schlatt.

"she's young, and doesn't deserve to be in your petty fued. corpse payed me to be his sniper, was his mistake to pay me before we even carried out the job.."

"i'm sorry i shot her, i tried to aim low."

"well, that was a nice shot on corpse." phil gave him props, nodding towards him.

"i'm not proud of the way i carried it out, but thank you."
