"i'm sorry ivy" puffy said softly, stepping forward to go for a hug.

"no- fuck you! i-i understand wanting me to grow up safe but he can atleast fill me in on shit!" ivy yelled, stepping away from puffy.

"i've told him, we just never knew how to tell you" puffy gave a sad look.

"we'll you've had seventeen years to think about it- and you still haven't bothered! what else dont i know?! i feel like i don't know shit about myself."

ivy stepped away from the group once again, a hand was placed on her shoulder causing her to quickly pull away.

"hey-" niki said, looking at the group worried. puffy mouthed something to her, causing her to understand the situation. "sorry" niki added, softly.

"i can't stay here- you guys are just fucking strangers to me, you can't tell me shit." ivy began walking away, niki going to follow her.

"ivy-"

"don't come fucking looking for me!" she yelled, not once looking back.

puffy smiled, watching as the small girl played with building blocks on the living room floor.

she had been expecting schlatt, as she invited him over for dinner. he tried to see ivy as often as he could, yet sometimes missed days turned into weeks.

"puf!" ivy yelled, pointing down towards her creating with building blocks.

"what's that supposed to be?" puffy asked, kneeling down next to ivy.

the small girl was about two now, yet struggling with speech. she learned puffy's name a few months into watching her, yet only says puf.

ivy just stared at her, then went back to playing. "home?" puffy said, pointing at what ivy created with the blocks.

"this is your home, for now atleast" puffy smiled weakly, motioning around the room.

"hom" ivy mumbled, looking at puffy as if she was looking for approval.

"home, sweetie. home" puffy smiled, pronouncing the words slower for ivy to hear.

"no!" ivy smiled widely, knocking down the block structure. puffy laughed, continuing to watch ivy play.

a knock on the door stole puffy's attention, as she rose up and walked towards the door.

she smiled, opening it to see schlatt. "c'mon in, how are ya"

"i'm alright" he stepped in, his eyes locking on ivy who was busy continuing to play with her blocks.

it had been a little over a month since he's seen her, yet he stayed in touch with puffy. part of him hates it, and wants to be a proper father figure. yet part of him knows he isn't prepared to deal with the responsibility of a child.

"hi ivy" he said softly, crouching down next to her. she smiled, quickly wrapping, atleast trying to, her arms around his waist.

he smiled widely, patting the top of her head, running his fingers through her hair.

schlatt sat with ivy in his arms, lying close to his chest. puffy sat not too far from them, holding small talk with schlatt.

"i don't know how i can repay you puffy, you do such an amazing job at raising her." schlatt said, looking up to puffy.

"you wanna know how you can repay me?" puffy asked, locking eyes with schlatt.

"well, yeah-"

"then quit the drinking"

the room fell silent, schlatt breaking eye contact and looking down to ivy.

"puffy-"

"then maybe you could have part in raising your daughter"
