The man's smirk grew slightly wider when he heard his name.
"Yes, Minho. It's me. Been long since we met huh?"
Minho stayed quiet, his grip on Jisung's hand slightly tightening. It was then that Jisung remembered they were still holding hands. His face flushed, but he didn't make a move to remove his hand, not wanting to disturb the seriousness in the air.
"Why do you have Yeji with you?"
The man cocked his head to a side. "Did I not tell you about revenge for my sister?"
Minho let go of Jisung's hand and took a step forward. "I don't think Jiae would go that far."
Jisung looked taken aback. "You know her?"
Minho turned his head to look at him and nodded. "I just didn't know that the Jiae I know and the Jiae that hurt you was the same one."
Now it was Jaeho's turn to look surprised. "Hurt you?"
"That's none of your business," Minho snapped. Jaeho smiled.
"Oh but you see, it very much is! She's my sister after all, it was about time she became like her brother."
"I'm nothing like you, oppa."
A female voice caught all three men off guard. Minho and Jisung turned around to see Jiae standing behind them. She was wearing a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie, arms crossed and a stoic expression on her face as she stared past her college mates at Jaeho.
Jaeho frowned. "Ji-"
"I'm nothing like you, oppa," Jiae repeated, cutting him off. She turned her gaze to Jisung and lowered her head a bit. "Jisung, I'm so sorry about what I did, my friends told me later. I was way too wasted to think straight, and I swear to god I would never ever hurt anyone willingly." She scrunched her nose. "Unlike this asshole I'm unfortunately related to."
Jaeho pushed past Minho and Jisung and stood in front of Jiae, his tall figure towering over his sister's much smaller one. His faced showed nothing but pure anger, but Jiae stood her ground, the stoic expression back.
"What did you say?" his voice dropped a few pitches.
"I said, bitch," Jiae scowled. "I am nothing like you, Jaeho. Never was, never will. Let Yeji go. I don't want any sort of twisted revenge from her."
"You ungrateful little-"
Jiae cut him short by roughly pushing him back. Jaeho stumbled a few steps and fell to the ground. Immediately, he was surrounded by around 5-6 henchmen. A guy helped Jaeho up as he fumed in anger. He took a deep breath in before forcing a smile to form on his mouth. It looked like even the slightest provocation would break it down to a deep scowl.
"As much as I hate you right now, I do not wish to see you hurt. You!" he turned to the nearest henchman. "Escort her back to our house safely. Till then, I will be taking care of our guests." The man nodded and made a move to grab Jiae's hand, who slapped his hand away.
"I said I don't want any fucking revenge, are you deaf?" she growled.
Any amount of disgust, doubt or hate against the girl in Jisung's mind had now cleared, a new found respect taking it's place.
Maybe what Minho hyung said was right, she is actually nice.
The man grunted and left the place with Jiae in his arms, who was continuously screaming a string of profanities. Jaeho snickered. "Boys, give our friends some nice treatment, would you?"
With that sentence, he spun on his heel and stalked to the back of the room he just came out of.
The henchmen turned to the two boys, who tensed up. One of them ran to attack Jisung, since he was the nearest and also the smallest of the two. What they probably didn't expect was him being much faster and agile than he looked. Jumping out of the bending bulky man's reach, Jisung folded his arm and knocked the side of the guy's head with his elbow. The man groaned and fell down.
