Chapter 4 - The Little Cry Baby

Having a bestfriend like Kate is a keeper. But having a bestfriend like Kate in the mornings of school who drags you out of bed while teasing you as she eats chocolate and prepares a cute outfit as I stand in the bathroom brushing my teeth like Usain Bolt in the morning is probably a keeper too.

I guess her ankle did get better after that little stunt that happened when she slipped is better, since Kate's carrying a zombie around like she caught a prize or just wanting chocolate. Something a girl craves at times well nearly everytime.

"Ugh, can't you walk yourself you pig!?" Kate yells dragging me across the hallway by my leg.

Woman please, I think I don't weigh that much and pig? Is that really the best you can come up with?

I roll my eyes as my eyes flicker to the kitchen where the rest of the family is. Patrick and dad are sat at the table talking while Mom's making what looks to be omelettes or pancakes. It's hard to see when your on the ground getting dragged out to your death by a T-Rex.

"Bye Mom and Dad!" I say scooting past. They both look at me on the ground and then look at Kate, laughing their heads off. "I'm going to take that as a goodbye sweetheart. Oh and I'm going to the movies with Kate after school."

"Okay have fun dear and don't be to late." Dad states before digging his nose back into the newspaper.

As we reach the front door Kate finally lets go so I could stand up but grabs my arm just incase if I run back off to my bedroom which is a high possibility. "Ouch, don't grab my arm so hard. Your drawing blood probably." I assure her as she rolls her eyes.

"Your crazy." Kate says opening the door as the cool air crawls into our home. I step out onto the porch followed by Kate who's still death gripping my arm.

"Do I have to go to school? What if I get there and there will be a rant about the note? Or the guy will come up and confess to me that he likes me? Or what if everyone teases me about it? Or looks at me funny? Or-"

"Shut your gob." Kate whispers after she slaps a hand over my mouth. "It'll be okay if you stick next to me."

I nod, taking her hand away from my mouth and opening up the car door. "Your lucky I don't have to see those cheerleading bitches today for the media." I grumble with an evil grin making her frown,

********

"See what I told you!" I glare at her with a frown. "They are staring at me like I've turned alien."

When we rolled into school this morning all we could hear the same topic over and over again 'Frances got a note in class saying a hot guy liked her and meant it' well in more annoying phrases and annoying voices.

But on the other side, this is the most popular I've gotten since I was in the schools weekly magazine about being the highest girl last year in P.E. Probably my proudest moment of the school life.

"Oh please. You aren't an alien. Well not that I know of." Kate speaks, making me growl at her. "Okay so my point is that rumours go around quick and this whole note thing could be just a scam."

We then stop at my locker as people move out of my way to open it up. Weird.

"Kay, I'm getting very worried for the senior years community." I whisper to her as I open up the padlock on my locker.

With one moment, I open it up and then a note comes falling down, gliding through the air and landing on the ground.

Another? I thought it was a scam!
